Directory View is a file/directory viewer/manipulator. It creates a View (window) which is used to display a selected directory.

Directory Tree is a tool with a plug-in based architecture.

Plugins are required to do anything beyond browsing and basic drag and drop.
This beta release has very limited support. The plugin manager will detect plugins, but thats about it.

It is designed for individuals who know something about the filing system, privileges and how the system works. It is not designed for amateurs.

It does not protect the user from themselves in the same way as the Finder does.
You can inflict a lot of damage to the filing system with this application. (Usual access rights will prevent the system from being hosed).

It allows you to view a directory in six ways :
• Info display : information about the directory itself
• Text display : display contents in a line-by-line text format
• Star display : not yet implemented
• Tree display : an icon based, hierarchical display
• Column display : similar to Finder column display
• Object display : shows ALL* objects in the directory in an icon or list view
• Selected display : lists objects which are in one or more of the four selection states

B-Tree is an educational tool for showing the operations of a B-Tree. More specifically, it graphically demonstrates the B-Tree node layout, key value searching, node deletions, node additions, and splay balancing.

It also provides a description of the processes.

K-tree uses a similar tree structure to the B+-tree and uses k-means to perform splits. The tree forms a nearest neighbour search tree. Unlike k-means the number of clusters does not need to be specified upfront. However, a tree order must be specified that restricts how many vectors can be stored in any node. Each level of the tree produces a different number of clusters.

Long ago I saw such a tool for Windows users and I thought I could need this myself on my Mac. In case Im missing some GB of disc space I could look which folder growed too much.
So this application was created and it does just this job. You select a folder, wait some minutes and you can browse it to look how big all the folders are.
This application is freeware and provided as is.

- A lot of faster by using the plugins directory size class instead of RBs functions.
