Dali Clock is a digital clock. When a digit changes, it "melts" into its new shape. The date is displayed when the mouse is pressed. The window can be made transparent, and can do funky psychedelic color cycling.

This is a very old program! The original version was written some time in the early 1980s by Steve Capps for the Xerox Alto workstation. In 1984, he ported it to the original Macintosh 128K.

In 1991, I (Jamie Zawinski) re-implemented it from scratch for X Windows on Unix. Its been fairly popular there ever since.
In 1999, I ported the X11 version to PalmOS. The entertaining thing about this is that the Palm Pilot that I had at the time was an only slightly more powerful machine than the Mac 128K: they had almost the same CPU, and almost the same sized screen! The Palm was about 4x faster, though, and had 16x as much memory. And it weighed a whole lot less.

Finally, in 2005, I ported the X11 version to MacOS X, bringing this story full circle.

In Qrbit you must pilot a ship through a variety of missions around the solar system. This game is extremely accurate to the real world (and hence very difficult).
You maneuver a ship through a variety of random scientific missions, hopefully with the aid of some physics knowledge. This is very geeky game which requires visualization and plenty of patience. This wont appeal to everybody.
Gameplay is continuous. You are allowed to adjust how fast the simulation runs, and you can zoom all the way from a close-up of your ship to seeing the nearby planets. All distances, scales, and speeds are shown accurately.
The missions range from aligning orbits to traveling to other planets, all with very limited fuel or time.
You have to be thoughtful and patient. A feel for physics helps too.

QtLogbook 0.93 is developed to be a smart logbook spreadsheet application which works in the same way as a spreadsheet, although it mimics the look of your paper logbook. It also has a report window that helps you determine your pilot time in various aircraft types over different time periods - useful when filling in an FAA 2120 or an insurance pilot history form. It currently handles helicopter, ASEL, AMEL. QtLogbook was written using the excellent cross platform Qt class library from Trolltech.

EVUltra is a plugin for Ambrosia Softwares (and Matt Burchs) Escape Velocity. One of the more interesting and addictive shareware games to take the stage circa 1996-97. If you hadnt guessed by [that] date this software is for older MacOS computers (when MacOS X and the very first bondi iMac had only then been announced), so this package will really only be of interest to people who are still getting by on a computer from that era (and still playing the game) or who simply like to collect this kind of stuff for nostalgia reasons. If you are such a person then I am happy to have re-released the plugin for you again.

EV Ultra adds the follwoing enhancements:

• New Graphics: Replaces all existing ship, station, and planet sprites, and more. As well as new graphics for new items in the plug-in.

EV Ultra continues right where the original EV left off. Just drop it into the plug-ins folder of EV. EV Ultra does not replace the existing EV Universe it simply expands upon it. To access the new missions and systems in EV Ultra you must complete the Rebel/Confed alien missions first.

You do not have to start a new pilot file. EV Ultra will work fine with existing EV pilots (if they have no weapons or ships from other 3rd part plugs).
