Patra is a Java password tracker.

Password Tracker is an application to keep your passwords in an encrypted file on disk, protected by a pass phrase so that they are safe.

Even if the file containing your passwords falls in the wrong hands, the pass phrase is needed to decrypt it. The application uses the unpatented Blowfish encryption algorithm which was invented by Bruce Schneier.

The encryption is reasonably safe. The application is based on the Password Safe application from Bruce Schneier, it aims to be compatible with it.

I started using the original Password Safe application from Bruce Schneier, which was a native windows application, and I still find it very useful. I try to maintain a number of different computers running different OSs. On Linux I am using WINE to run password safe. I didnt want to be "locked in" in an old format that I didnt understand, I was afraid my data would get lost at some point. Therefore, I wanted to be able to decode the file format myself to be able to recover my data if this would be necessary. Some things were bothering me a little bit regarding the application.

- No easy buttons to copy uid/pwd (both, not only the password).
- Cross platform - no dependency on WINE - PC, Linux, OSX.
- New password safe format 2.0.
- Import/export to plain text to prevent lock-in.
- Changing the password generating stuff, sometimes I need longer/shorter passwords with other requirements.

The current Password Safe project hosts a Java version as well but I decided not to investigate this solution further. I noticed that there has been progress on the Java version since I started my own implementation, but I did not investigate it further. These remarks are probably not valid anymore at this point in time.

So I decided to rewrite the complete application from scratch without reusing code. Simple to install, clean lean interface, a handy polished tool.

These e-books have many useful features as well as at least one delightfully useless feature. Two of the e-books, "JFK Witness" and Thoreaus "Walden" include guided tours created with the Sophie notebook tool.
This tool allows readers to create and share with others their own indexed and commented "readings" of important texts. Sophies search feature lists the chapter and the phrase for each occurrence of a search string.
On the more or less useless side of the feature list, a copy of Text Blender Pro is built-in to each e-book reader. Paste in any meaningful passage and the text blender will, grind, whip, puree, or liquify it until it is more or less meaningless. A few poets, song-writers or latter-day beatniks will find this to be a useful feature, but for most it will be a delectable distraction.
The other e-books included in the free download are: Joseph Conrads "The Heart of Darkness," two books by G.K. Chesterton "The Man who was Thursday," and "The Innocence of Father Brown," Thomas a Kempis "Imitatio Christi," "Pencil and Poison - Selected Prose of Oscar Wilde," Nathaniel Hawthornes "The Scarlet Letter" and Robert Louis Stevensons "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde."
Enhancements:
- Over 204 bugs have resolved since RC5. Although bug fixing was a large part of the work, we did extensive changes to the software to add new features and improve how Sophie works. We completely rewrote the entire text edit subsystem to resolve issues found in RC5, along with adding new feature to the template system to enhance the ability of Sophie to make books. During this process we replaced the entire undo/redo subsystem with a new code base which greatly simplified the interface for developers and enabled many more commands/actions to be undoable.

PowerDraw 0.9 is an essential and effective utility which can help you beautify the slides for your presentation. Have you ever wished to just draw a few lines on the screen during your presentation? Or did you wish you could highlight a word or phrase or part of a drawing on your slides during your lecture? Maybe you even wanted a few blank slides so you could explain something in more detail? Then PowerDraw is the tool for you. It is particularly useful when giving presentations / lectures using a ModBook (this is a tablet MacBook).

Major Features:

1. Overdraw mode: while switched on, all mouse clicks and dragging are intercepted by PowerDraw to create line drawings. If overdraw mode is switched off, then only PowerDraw's buttons are active; all mouse events in other areas of the screen go to the application underneath, as ususal.
2. Two buttons for stepping forward/backward in your presentation (this is particularly useful while overdraw mode is on).
3. Buttons to skip to the next/previous slide, no matter how many animations there are.
4. The GUI is fairly minimal, so as not to intrude too much; it is also quite efficient (hopefully), so that switching between drawing mode and click-through mode, and between different drawing colors is as quick as possible.
5. PowerDraw remembers what you have drawn over each slide; so if you go back a slide, the drawings you have made there will be displayed again. And it does not matter whether you go back via PowerDraw's button, or via Powerpoints own user interface (e.g., backspace, right click, etc.)
6. PowerDraw never intercepts keyboard events, so key clicks will always go to Powerpoint (or whatever application is in focus at the moment). This is a safety net. (Another reason is that I am often giving my lectures on a ModBook, so there is no keyboard at all [a ModBook is a tablet MacBook].)
