Dia de los Muertos Icons 1.0 is a product including icon set for your desktop, inspired by an ancient Mexican festival Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) started by the Aztecs over 3,000 years ago. Over the centuries, this festive holiday of bright colors, macabre imagery and specially prepared foods has honored the dead and symbolized death and rebirth to peoples in Mexico and parts of the United States. It is celebrated from October 31st through November 2nd and as such has become greatly associated with Halloween.
Artist David Lanham has drawn inspiration from Dia de los Muertos to create his latest freeware icon set for your desktop. This brightly colored collection of skulls, hard drives, folders and more is a wonderful celebration of all things spooky. Enjoy!
