Periodic Table 1.1
Periodic Table - A very useful and highly functional periodic table. more>> Periodic Table - A very useful and highly functional periodic table.
Our Periodic Table application was designed with ease of use in mind, and elements can be viewed in many different ways:
- Traditional table, colour coded with atomic numbers
- List view, both names and symbols in alphabetical order
- Sort view allows the elements to be sorted based on their numerical data, from boiling point to atomic radius
Elements can be selected from anywhere in the application, showing a detailed view of its attributes.
The Periodic Table is completely free of charge, although a huge amount of time was put into making it, so donations are greatly appreciated.
System requirements:
- iPhone

TablePod 1.3 is a simple to use, yet sophisticated utility for the chemistry student or maybe the professional chemist.
It gives you a periodic table of the elements on your iPod. TablePod, is different from the other (one, maybe two?) as it gives you a visual table. Each elements has its own image. The elements backgrounds have a color that corresponds to the type of elements (Alkali Metal, Noble Gas, so forth). For now TablePod is for quick reference, it has name, number, symbol, weight, and type.
Requirements: A color screen iPod.

PseudoAnacron 1.5.1
PseudoAnacron is a useful utility which helps you do some periodic maintenance tasks at specific times. more>>
PseudoAnacron 1.5.1 is a useful utility which helps you do some periodic maintenance tasks at specific times.
There are daily, weekly, and monthly periodic tasks that are launched in the middle of the night. If your Mac is not powered up 24 hours a day, probably some (or all) of those tasks are never (or seldom) performed. You can find utilities around the net that allow you to manually launch those tasks, others (like anacron) that, once installed in the system, are repeatedly called to check any skipped cron task.
PseudoAnacron takes a different approach: at login (its a startup application) it checks if the periodic daily/weekly/monthly task was skipped and in that case the task is launched; after that, PseudoAnacron quits, wasting no more CPU cycles.
Enhancements: Added the administrator name field in preferences: now you can use PseudoAnacron with non-administrator accounts.
Requirements:
- OS X 10.4 - 10.5.x.
- Universal Binary.
Numerics.osax 1.1.2
Numerics.osax is a free Scripting Addition to provide advanced mathematical commands more>>
The computational features now include five Suites: Linear algebra, FFT and convolution, Image files, 3D array handling, and Numerical data files.
Main features:
- linear algebra (eigenvalues, linear systems solving, etc.)
- signal processing (1d, 2d, and n-d FFT, cross- and self-correlations, convolution, interpolation)
- image processing (import/export, particle analysis)
- 3D arrays (handling by reference, extraction, isosurfaces, stream lines).
Enhancements:
- Linear algebra: transpose, multmatrix, invertmatrix, solve linear system, compute eigenvalues, LUdecomposition, pivot, determinant
- Basic linear algebra and basic commands for inverting, diagonalizing, and decomposing a matrix. These commands support complex matrices. multmatrix performs the product of matrices and/with vectors: M x M, M x v, v x M, v x v.
- FFT and convolution: fft1d, fft2d, filterarray, convolve, correlate, interpolate
- Fast Fourier transforms: 1d, grouped, n-dimensional, and 2d. Use algorithms which time like N.Log N. Not powers of 2-limited. Convolution and correlation of two arrays, support periodic boundary conditions. Interpolation, linear or spline, supports periodic boundary conditions.
- Image files: imagefile bounds, convert imagefile, create imagefile, create grayimagefile, particles
- Basic commands for doing image processing: getting an images bounds, importing it as a numerical matrix and back, and doing particles analysis (get statistical info and contours of particles of an image).
- 3D array handling: open3D, close3D, list3Darrays, info3D, contents3D, extract3D, isosurface, streamline
- This Suite is to cope with 3D data and visualize them conveniently. Instead of manipulating the data in your script, you load them into memory and specify a name for them. Using the name you can extract whatever fraction of the data you really need. You can produce isosurfaces of a scalar field, and the stream lines of a vectorial field (results are triangle lists).
- Numerical data files: XNFGetArray, XNFSave, XNFdelete, XNFtoc
- This Suite introduces a new extensible data format, XNF (eXtensible Numerical File format.), extension .xnf. XNF files store binary 1D, 2D, and 3D arrays. One XNF file may contain arbitrarily many arrays of various kinds, stored under a variety of formats: the XNF file manages a Table of contents which specifies the properties of each array. Access to arrays is simply by name. Since the Table of contents is a XML, you can apply XPaths to retrieve a particular set of data. XMLLib osax required.
MultiService Suite 1.0
MultiService is a small suite of utilities written in Applescript more>>
MultiService joins 4 little utilities, "Capture That!", "FinderQuit", "Launch Service Rebuild" and "YACMU"
Capture That! is a GUI to change some parameters to the default screencapture service in Mac OS X 10.4
FinderQuit is a tool to easily quit the Finder to improve performance on older Macs or to restart it after making changes
LSR rebuilds the Launch Service DB to clean it from duplicated apps
YACMU performs the periodic maintenance tasks on your click.

Periodic table of the elements software. In addition to the usual information found in such programs, it also contains a wealth of nuclear information on each isotope, including half life, decay mode, and daughter products. X-ray data (fluorescence and binding energies) is included, as well as photon interaction values. Electron shell and particle energies are also listed, along with visible spectra, and a table of wavelengths and amplitudes. Theres a handy chart of the nuclides, showing all of the isotopes included in the Atomic Mac periodic table, about 1600 of them! Clicking on one takes you to detailed data for that isotope, such as half life, decay mode, alpha/beta/gamma energies, and daughter products. A molecular weight calculator makes it easy to find the molecular weight of compounds. A shaded diagram showing the ranges of physical properties makes it easy to visualize relationships across the periodic table.

<<lessAstroTimes 2.1.2
Date and the current Modified Julian Date more>> The TimeBox application is a powerful, easy-to-use time management tool. It allows contractors and consulting professionals to keep track of their time spent on various projects and tasks, and to cross-reference projects and tasks in a variety of reports and summaries. It currently runs on Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP and Mac OSX, as well as any other platform with a Java RunTime Environment (including Solaris and Linux.)
Features of the TimeBox application include:
A "punch-clock" metaphor which makes tracking time so easy, its almost mindless. Just punch a button an click on the project youll be starting on. Its as easy as 1 - 2 ...
A built-in Web server which allows user you to track time from a remote computer. Are you planning to work from another location tomorrow? No problem! You can track that time using the same TimeBox instance, right over the Internet.
A Report Generator which allows you to customize reports. Create reports about specific projects, specific time frames, in whatever format you need. View, print, or save your reports, or load them into the spreadsheet or database applications you already use.
Automatic Data Submission to allow you to either set up periodic time submissions, or submit time yourself whenever you need to, to a central server application.
QwikMessage Instant Messaging to allow easy communication among team members when used in conjunction with the ClokBox application.
Advanced editing features to allow you to modify time that youve already tracked. Did you forget to punch in or punch out for a certain day? No problem! You can easily edit time youve already tracked, or time that youve forgotten to track!
Easy backup features help you prevent accidental data loss.
Advanced search capabilities allow you to quickly and efficiently dig through that past time youve tracked.<<less
