Package Merge Beta is a small utility I made in about 20 minutes to combine a partial application package left by Apples installers (if you move around and reorganize your apps) with the full application.

Anyone with this problem will know what Im talking about.

Package Tracker Widget 2.1.3 brings about a handy widget which allows you to see at a glance the current status of your package, when it will be delivered, and the most recent scan activity. If it has been delivered, Package Tracker lights up to attract your attention.

Click on the status and your browser will go right to the carrier's tracking page. And it's all in a beautiful interface that fits right in with Mac OS X Tiger.

admaDIC created a small package splmount which easily allows to mount additional volumes in a fli4l router.

The package splmount includes an option to automatically install the ext2 kernel module. The standard configuration of fli4l v3.x only includes the ext3 module. It should be possible to mount ext2 volumes, but we encountered several configurations which did not work properly. In these situations the option to load the ext2 module may be activated and it should be possible to mount the ext2 volumes.

The package should be extracted into the directory which contains the fli4l files. The kernel module ext2.o is included in the package splmount. Originally it is stored in the package kernel-modules-extra.tar.gz, but was included in splmount to save the additional work of extracting it from kernel-modules-extra.tar.gz.

Suspicious Package 1.2 is developed to be a handy and convenient plugin which can be used for the Quick Look feature of Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and 10.6 (Snow Leopard). It allows you to preview the contents of a standard Apple installer package without launching the Installer. Just select the icon in the Finder and select Quick Look.

You can click on individual folder names to see their contents, or click the Show Contents button to see all content at once. Suspicious Package also alerts you to packages that require an administrator password, or that require you restart your machine after installation.

PackTrack is package tracking application that has the ability to track UPS and FedEx carriers out of the box.

It also includes an interface for creating plug-ins for other carriers.

Select text literally anywhere on your OS X desktop, click your Services menu from your menu bar, select an ACP Web service - and youre there.
ACP Web Services is a group of over 200 search engine services working off Services on your menu bar and includes a service manager app so you can edit them and add new services of your own. (The package includes a tutorial which shows how easy it is to do this.)

Samba Sharing Package 2.5.0b3 is regarded as a potential and easy to use Unix type server, currently included in MacOSX, which shares files using the CIFS/SMB protocol.

This is the standard file-sharing protocol used by Windows. By sharing your files with Samba they can be accessed by Windows or/and other Unix-like computers in your network. This program allows you to share othere directories then the 'Home'-folders and make those directories available to guest users. You can also use this package to share your printers with Windows users.

Samba Sharing is not meant to access windows computers. OS X 10.2 has features for this itself. You can also use the shareware product Sharity from Objective Development to access the Windows-network.

Expat is a non-validating XML parser written by James Clark and released under an Open Source license. This implies I only compiled it and built this installer package, but I did not not develop the software.

Most users wont ever use expat directly (although the included xmlwf application can be handy to check the wellformedness of an XML document, if xmllint is not available), but it is a prerequisite for some other software, for instance some XML-related Perl modules or the Sablotron XSL-T processor.

This installer will install expat compiled from the original, unmodified sources.
