Build Installer 1.1.0 is considered as a flexible and effective tool, designed to allow you to build the software & libraries to be installed directly from the source. This is very useful for scientific & engineering libraries, where efficiency and performance are paramount - pre-built binaries just can't cater for every model and configuration.
Please note that this is not a program like Fink that lets you install various programs out of the box. It is a developer tool - an installer template, if you like - for people to use.
