tn3270 allows a Macintosh computer with a TCP/IP network connection to emulate an IBM 3270 terminal. Features of the emulation include color, extended highlighting, APL/TEXT character set support, and both standard and custom screen sizes. tn3270 also supports file transfer as part of a terminal session when IBM VM/CMS is being used on the host computer.

Although primarily a 3270 emulation program, tn3270 also supports line mode telnet connections. You dont have to launch the application and then navigate through the open dialog. Just control-click on a document and choose from the applications on your disks that can open it in the pop up list.

Only applications that can open all the documents in the selection appear in the popup menu, so it doesnt take long to find the application that you want.
