Link Me!/Open Me! is an interesting set of scripts! "Link Me!" will allow you to place a link button to another QuarkXPress document on the current documents layout. When run, the script will prompt you for the document to "link to" and then create a picture box containing an icon on the top left of the current page.

It will also place a text box containing the name of the "link to" file next to the picture box.

Select both boxes (group them if you like) and move them to the pasteboard or wherever you desire. The text box containing the "link to" doc name is created for your convienince and may be deleted if you want since the picture box contains the link!

To open "link to" documents, select the link icon boxes representing the files to open (dont worry if theyre grouped since the script will find "see" them anyway), and run the "Open Me!" script--it will open all "link to" documents. If a "link to" document has been moved to another location, the script will offer to find every matching file and open them. The "Open Me!" script requires the scriptable Finder that ships with system 7.5 or higher.

Requirements: Mac OS X 10.0 or later.

Whats different about this AppleScript utility:
Unlike other scripts that quit as soon as you select "Show the Invisible files" and then you must find the script again.
This script reads the state of your invisible files and displays another dialog box until you are finished.
This makes things much easier, especially if youre accessing the script through Spotlight.

Open Template is an Entourage AppleScript that adds templates functionality to Microsoft Entourage.

Simply put the script into your Entourage Script Menu Items folder in the Microsoft User Data folder in your Documents folder. It will then be accessible from the Script Menu in Entourage.

Open Stuff is one of the simplest widgets out there. It serves one purpose: To open stuff.

Stuff like different folders on your disk like the Apps or Docs folder. On one click of the widgets body (very small) and lots of folders are under your fingertips.

When you flip it to the back of the widget you can choose from a list of different
folders. It is really only made for the times when you are already in the Dashboard layer, but it threatens to stop the use of the Finder all together.

Open Unread Messages is an Entourage AppleScript which opens a Custom View titled "Unread Messages" with shortcut key Cmd-Control-U.

Completly freeware.

Open Script will take a selection of a message in Entourage and move it to a Script Editor window and will attempt to compile it as applescript. This is intended for use where you receive scripts by email (typically from mailing lists etc.) and want to try them out or modify them.

Normally you would have to select the script, choose Copy, Open the script editor, make a new window, chose Paste & then compile. This script automates that process, making it possible to just select the text and run this script.
