Please, note that I support these formats experimentally. Since there are many of apps in the pc-world able to generate these archives, I choose only the most common of them (such as the ones generated by QuickSFV or MD5Summer).

Checksum Validator 1 is launched as a simple yet effective tool with which you can easily calculate and validate checksums (SHA-1 or MD5 digests) for files that you download (or will upload). By comparing a site's published checksum with your calculated checksum, you can verify that your download matches the site's official copy; free from corruption or tampering (unless the site's checksum was also tampered with).
Everything needed to calculate checksums is in Mac OS X, this is just much easier and quicker, and let's face it, the easier and faster, the more likely you will actually verify these downloads.

Generate and compare secure MD5 checksums of critical files more>>
Checkmate is a preference pane for MacOS X 10.1 or higher that allows you to generate and compare secure MD5 checksums of critical files. This can be used to detect whether these files have been altered by viruses, root kits, trojan horses, or other possibly malicious programs.
NOTE: The choice of files that are checked by default was derived by examining a number of other file system checksumming (or tripwire-type) systems on other UNIX-like platforms. If you believe that there are other OSX-specific files that should get checked for malicious alteration, please send me your suggestions for possible inclusion.
Major Features:
- Checksum validation can be run manually from inside the preference pane, and/or scheduled to run hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or each time you restart.
- If the validation process finds any files whose checksums don't match the values stored, several notification options can be triggered, including a popup dialog and email.
- In addition to the default list of files that are included for validation, you can easily add and remove additional files that you wish to validate.
- You can also export the list of file checksums to a file to be stored somewhere other than the computer it was made on (such as on your iDisk).
- You can then later load this externally-stored file back into the preferences panel to verify that the checksum

Output can be in UTF-8 text, UTF-16 text, hex-encoded text, hex/ASCII text with 8, 16, or 32-bit chunks, base-64, Adler32 checksum (bothstandard and Apple variants), CRC32, MD5, or SHA-1.
Barcode Font Package 3.5
Barcode Font Package - Code EAN, UPC, 128, 39, 2/5, Postnet, Codabar more>>
Code 128 EAN/UCC
To create a Code 128 EAN/UCC simply select the code from the list in either the "Single Barcode" or the "Batch Conversion" Pane. The code generator will create all necessary conversion characters to create the smallest possible outline. Use the "~" to encode non-printable characters, e.g. to encode a TAB, enter "~009".
Note: Code 128 and its variations (EAN/UCC/GS1 - they all mean the same) is ALWAYS used with a checksum. If the generated code does not scan, make sure that you checked the "Checksum" box.
Code 39 Extended
Code 39 Extended will be generated automatically after selecting Code 39 if the generator finds a cahacter that can only be used in Code 39 Extended, e.g. asmall caps. Use the "~" to encode non-printable characters, e.g. to encode a TAB, enter "~009".
Note: Make sure your barcode scanner will actually scan Code 39 Extended. This is not a given!
Enhancements:
- Support for Code 128 EAN/UCC and Code 39 Extended.
Version restrictions:
- The trial version of the software will place the word EVAL near the barcode. Nevertheless the code will scan just fine.
