TeraFractal is for creating and displaying fractal images based on transformations in an iterated function system.
But rather than forcing you to define transformations numerically, TeraFractal represents each transformation as a rectangle in a control window.

You can make adjustments by simply dragging these rectangles around with the mouse, altering the transformations translation, rotation, and scaling factors. This representation also allows you to see the properties of a given iterated function system at a glance. (See screen shot.)

TeraFractal updates the fractal image continually by using an efficient randomized algorithm that iteratively applies the transformations to a random starting point.
This real-time feedback makes it possible to create lifelike fractals in a surprisingly short time.

SortableListbox is a listbox subclass for REALbasic that can sort normally, numerically or by date, either ascending or descending and also preserves the selection after sorting.
Main features:
- Can sort a column alphanumerically (nomally).
- Can sort a column numerically (so that 2 comes before 10).
- Can sort a column chronologically (by date).

SNMP Status monitors a SNMP device like AirPort routers and displays the traffic of a connected interface in the menubar.

Diffraction is an important physical effect inherent in all wave phenomena. Fraunhofer and Fresnel diffraction are two important classes of diffraction. Fraunhofer diffraction involves coherent plane waves incident upon an obstruction. Fresnel diffraction is the same, except that the waves are spherical, effectively originating from a point source.
Fresnel Diffraction Explorer is based on an efficient algorithm to calculate numerically a Fresnel diffraction pattern using any two-dimensional aperture.
It is a simple exercise to show that Fraunhofer diffraction by an aperture is mathematically equivalent to the Fourier transform of the aperture shape. Because the integrals describing Fresnel diffraction are so intractable, however, Fresnel diffraction patterns have few analytical solutions, even in one dimension. ... A calculation in two dimensions is even more problematic.
