Engineering Aid 2.0.7

Engineering Aid 2.0.7

Convert between various engineering units easily more>> Key features:
-Emulates the Apple ][, ][+ and //e
-Supports USB game pad and joystick
-Store a running machine and resume later on
-Full-screen mode
-Epson FX-80 and Imagewriter II emulation
-Many configurable peripheral cards
-Realistic sound effects, including Mockingboard emulation
-Convert original Apple II diskettes
-Index your Apple II disk images
-Debug Apple II programs
Virtual ][ lets you play the old Apple games, because it supports all graphics modes, lets you control the game paddles with a USB game pad or mouse and emulates the internal speaker. When you want to temporarily interrupt gameplay, Virtual ][ allows you to save the entire virtual machine, and continue later on from where you left off.
But Virtual ][ also supports more "serious" software, because it emulates many peripheral devices: floppy disk, hard disk, mouse, serial port, matrix printer, even cassette tape! It also emulates the Z80A processor, allowing you to run the CP/M operating system.
And for the technically inclined: you can configure the machine by "inserting" and "removing" emulated peripheral cards, change the CPU speed, or even install your own emulated character generator ROM. The "Inspector" feature allows you to closely observe the behavior of the emulated machine and debug Apple II programs.
If you have original diskettes and a working Apple II, Virtual ][ can help you convert the diskettes to the Macintosh, even if they are "copy protected".
The program automatically indexes all Apple II disk images on your Mac, so you can find an Apple II file instantly, by entering its name.
You can download an evaluation version and try the program first. If you like the program, you can buy a license and fully enjoy the nostalgic fun of the old Apple ][ computer.
Virtual ][ requires Mac OS X 10.4 or better.
The program comes as a "universal binary", which means it makes optimal use of both PowerPC and Intel Macintoshes.

Books 3.2.2

Books 3.2.2

Native Cocoa application for Mac OS X that stores, sorts, and searches book collection information more>> Native Cocoa application for Mac OS X that stores, sorts, and searches book collection information

Books is intended to assist book collectors with managing personal collections.
Book cataloging has traditionally been a very tedious and time-consuming task. [COPYRIGHt=1] Prior to computerization most professional libraries hired staff to do this and the result was the venerable card catalog.
The card catalog was better than no catalog at all, but it suffered from a few drawbacks. First of all, it was typically sorted using only a handful of fields that could describe a book. Remember that the fiction catalog was organized alphabetically by the authors last names and the nonfiction books were organized by subject or title.
This was useful if we wanted to find all of the novels published by Stephen King or all of the books about astronomy. It was not so useful for finding all of the books published by Carl Sagan or all of fiction about ghosts.
As you have no doubt noticed during your recent visit to a library, there are not many card catalogs left. Your friendly neighborhood librarian probably replaced the card catalog with a computer workstation that allows you to do things like find all of the ghost novels or list all of the Carl Sagan books on the local shelves.
While something nostalgic has been lost in the transition to digital catalogs, both the librarians and patrons are better off. Patrons can more easily find the books they want and card catalog helps the librarian keep track of what books are on the shelves, who checked them out, and so on.
When you use a cataloging program such as Books, you become both the librarian and the patron. Your library consists of your books sitting on your shelves and how you choose to describe them. Think of Books as your personal card catalog. It has two goals: to help you catalog and manage your book collection, and to give you the tools for quickly locating individual books and enjoying your own personal library.

Main features:>
- Quickfill - Books can go online and retrieve information about your books with as little information as an ISBN number UPC code. Numerous companies and libraries provide book information online and Books helps you by communicating with those sources to save you from entering details or scanning covers manually.
- Lists & Smart Lists - Books allows you to create any number of lists to allow you to organize your collection as you wish. Smart lists allow you to define dynamic lists using a set of simple rules that collect in one place all the books matching your criteria.
- Data Exporting - You may find yourself wishing to use and share your book information when youre not in front of the computer. Books provides many options for taking your data out of the program and making it available to programs such as Excel, posting it on the web as part of your personal website, or taking it on-the-go on your iPod or mobile phone.

Enhancements:
- This update fixes the bugs in the Quickfill system.

20 years ago, the very first Macintosh personal computer was unveiled by Apple in Cupertino, CA. In order to help celebrate this momentous anniversary, widget : widget is extremely proud to announce the immediate availability of Magnum Opus, the largest compendium of Apple hardware icons ever made. This icon set has been in preparation for over 18 months. It contains no less than 270 individual icons, 4,769,280 individual pixels, in addition to a great deal of time, patience, and love. Every single Apple computer ever made is covered. If youre looking for a Newton icon, theres bound to be one here. If youve got a new eMac and need something cool to identify it by, then theres an eMac icon too. Even if you feel a bit nostalgic and fancy remembering the Lisa, Macintosh TV, or even the good ol Macintosh 128k, theyre all here as well. In addition to computers, the set also contains over 100 accessory icons, ranging from various ADB mouse to the brand new iPod mini.

Apple hasnt always had an easy ride. The mid-nineties nearly killed the company, and not a month goes by without a smug, pessimistic analyst foretelling the companys death. Yet one thing has remained synonymous with Apple over its tenure: the Macintosh. This is the product that has shaped Apple the most. Not the Apple I, or even the Lisa have had such a profound over Apple, let alone the world of computing. Whilst it may seem as though the Macintosh was launched only yesterday, twenty years is a long time. Its uncertain as to whether the Macintosh of tomorrow will be very similair to what we use now. But one thing is certain: it will probably be better.

Please join us in toasting the Macintosh to another glorious twenty years, and hopefully, many more after that..

Requirements:
Mac OS 8 or later.
Enhancements:
Version 1.3: Added the 4G iPod. Tidied up some masks.
