Nikon D2X - Firmware update for the Nikon digital camera.
Enhancements:
- Autofocus performance has been increased.
- An issue that prevented the AF-assist illuminator from firing when the Speedlights listed below were used has been corrected. Speedlights effected: SB-29s, SB-29, SB-23, SB-22s, SB-22, SB-20
- In images captured at a shutter speed of 1/250 s with a Speedlight SB-800, set to Distance-priority manual flash (GN), or Manual flash (M) with flash output set to full (M1/1) mounted on the camera, the top portion was often dark. This issue has been addressed. However, under the circumstances described above only, the guide number is reduced from that of full flash output level by approximately 0.6 EV.
- Images captured at white-balance settings of Incandescent, Direct sunlight, Cloudy, Shade, and Choose color temp. tended to have a reddish tint. This issue has been addressed.
- Errors in Dutch menus have been corrected.
The basic steps to update the firmware are:
1. Download and expand the firmware files
2. Format an approved CF card in the camera (do not use a Microdrive card to perform this update)
3. Connect Camera to computer (in MSC USB mode) or use a CF Card Reader (do not use a Lexar Jump Shot USB cable to perform this update)
4. Copy to the top level of the card the downloaded "A firmware" file
5. Disconnect camera from computer
6. Update the firmware from the "Setup" menu
7. Follow the cameras on-screen menus
8. Repeat steps 2 through 7 using the "B Firmware"
9. Re-format Card
NOTE : The most common mistake which prevents installation is copying both firmware.bin files at the same time. Be sure to do each update separately!

Nikon Transfer 1.5.1 is released to be a proper and functional application which allows for the simple transfer of images captured with a Nikon digital camera, or images recorded to media such as memory cards, to a computer. It also allows for back-up copying and embedding of information including copyright into image data during transfer.

This is an updater for Nikon View 6 to version 6.2.7 for Macintosh OS computers.
Special Notes :
Before using Nikon View 6.2, all earlier versions of Nikon View (Nikon View 900, Nikon View 2.x, Nikon View DX, Nikon View 3.x, Nikon View 4.x, Nikon View 5.x, Nikon View 6.0) as well as Nikon Capture 1.x must be uninstalled. When using Nikon View 6 in combination with Nikon Capture 3 or Capture 4, be sure to use the latest versions of both (Nikon View and Nikon Capture) applications. Nikon Capture 2 is not compatible with this version of Nikon View. If you use Nikon Capture 2.x do not update to this version of Nikon View.
Enhancements:
- Support for RAW images from the D50 D-SLR
- The Red Eye Correction function can now be used on RAW and 16-bit TIFF images.

This is a updater version of Nikon Capture version 4.4.1 for Macintosh (English).
Nikon Capture Editor:
1. Support for RAW images captured with the D2Hs has been added.
2. Some of the information displayed in the Shooting data area has been changed.
Long Exposure Noise Reduction: changed from Off or Fixed pattern to Off or On
High ISO Noise Reduction: changed from Off or On to Off, On (Normal), or On (High) (D2X and D2Hs only)
3. The following changes have been made to the Straighten function (Image menu>Rotate).
The shape of the Draw Level cursor has been changed.
The function has been changed so that the image is rotated immediately after the Draw Level line is drawn or as the degree of rotation is entered in Rotation text box.
Nikon Capture Control
1. Support for the D2Hs has been added.
2. The Noise Reduction checkbox in the Image Processing panel has been changed to a pop-up menu offering selection from Off, On (Normal), and On (High) options. (D2X and D2Hs only)
Enhancements:
- Supports D2Hs and D2X RAW/NEF files after firmware 2.0.0 firmware has been applied (available soon).
