Unified Parallel C (UPC) is an extension of the C programming language designed for high performance computing on large-scale parallel machines. The language provides a uniform programming model for both shared and distributed memory hardware.

The programmer is presented with a single shared, partitioned address space, where variables may be directly read and written by any processor, but each variable is physically associated with a single processor.

UPC uses a Single Program Multiple Data (SPMD) model of computation in which the amount of parallelism is fixed at program startup time, typically with a single thread of execution per processor.

In order to express parallelism, UPC extends ISO C 99 with the following constructs:
* An explicitly parallel execution model
* A shared address space
* Synchronization primitives and a memory consistency model

IP Scanner uses Bonjour (the technology formerly known as Rendezvous) to collect realtime user information as well as IP data from Macintosh machines on a local area network and sorts everything in tidy columns, each machine's IP number displayed next to its name (along with the current username of the person logged in to that machine).

For small network admins, this means no more shouting around the office to find out who has which IP or, conversely, who is sitting at which workstation in a fixed IP network.

This is a very old program! The original version was written some time in the early 1980s by Steve Capps for the Xerox Alto workstation. In 1984, he ported it to the original Macintosh 128K.

White_dune is a low level VRML97 tool for Unix/Linux/MacOSX and MsWindows. White_dune can read VRML97 files, display and let the user change the scenegraph/fields.

Unlike most highlevel tools, White_dune uses a light model based on the VRML97 standard.
White_dune is not finished yet, especially in the 3D preview window but even if you do not see the node/field in 3D, you can graphically change the values

Major Features:

  1. IndexedFaceSet nodes can be created via conversion from NurbsSurface nodes oder SuperFormula PROTOs or by "pure VRML97" export, but for some tasks you may prefer to work with a polygon mesh 3D modeller with VRML97 export and rework the results (e.g. color, texture, lightning, animation, interaction....) in White_dune.
  2. VRML97 (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) is the ISO standard for displaying 3D data over the Web via browser plugins ("HTML for realtime 3D").
  3. It has support for animation, real-time interaction, and multimedia (images, movies, and sounds).
  4. White_dune can read, create and display VRML97 files and let the user change the scenegraph/fields.
  5. It also has support for stereoscopic view via "quadbuffer"-capable stereo visuals, and support for 3D input devices like a joystick, spaceball, or magnetic tracker.
  6. Beside zillions of closed source 3D modellers with VRML97 export, there are free software/opensource 3D modellers with VRML97 (mesh) export:
    • wings 3d (BSD style licence)
    • Art of Illusion (mainly GPL license)
    • Blender (GPL license)
    • SharpConstruct(GPL license)
    • gSculpt(GPL license)
Enhancements:
  • A crash in PROTO initialization was fixed.
  • Importing of illegal X3DV files without the required PROFILE statement was enabled.
  • Some Italian translations were added to the Italian... dune4kids menu.
  • A better workaround for SuperEllipsoid to NurbsSurface conversion was added

Requirements:

  • The usage of a 3D hardware accelated graphicscard with OpenGL driver support will speedup things

ARAnyM is an acronym: Atari Running on Any Machine. It is a virtual machine software for running the Atari ST/TT/Falcon operating systems (TOS, FreeMiNT, MagiC and others) and TOS/GEM applications on any kind of hardware - be it an IBM clone, an Apple, an Unix server, a graphics workstation or even a portable computer.
We started this project to fill the demand of modern applications, games, demos and multimedia for higher CPU/graphics power.
Quite frankly, you cant expect that 9-17 years old Atari hardware will replay fullscreen DivX movies, encode sound to Ogg Vorbis in real time or just compile a new FreeMiNT kernel or SDL game in a reasonable amount of time.
Is that a reason to give up on Atari TOS/GEM altogether and switch to another platform/OS? No! ARAnyM is here to give you the much asked CPU speed, large amount of RAM, huge colourful graphics and anything else you need to keep running your favorite TOS/GEM applications.
We would like you to think about ARAnyM as about yet another TOS clone, similar to Medusa, Hades or Milan, but actually much cheaper and way more powerful.
Our goal is to create a distribution installable from a floppy/CD that would turn any PC machine into full featured Atari power machine. If we were a hardware vendor we could even sell computers that would boot directly to TOS desktop!
That may help all the remaining Atari users who wish to upgrade their aging machines.

Bochs is a portable x86 PC emulation software package that emulates enough of the x86 CPU, related AT hardware, and BIOS to run Windows, Linux, *BSD, Minix, and other OSs, all on your workstation.
Bochs is a highly portable open source IA-32 (x86) PC emulator written in C++, that runs on most popular platforms.
Bochs includes emulation of the Intel x86 CPU, a custom BIOS and common I/O devices. Currently, Bochs can be compiled to emulate a 386, 486, Pentium/PentiumII/PentiumIII/Pentium4 or x86-64 CPU including optional SSEx, MMX, and 3DNow! instructions.
Bochs is capable of running most Operating Systems inside the emulation including Linux, Windows 95, DOS, and Windows NT 4. Bochs was written by Kevin Lawton and is currently maintained by this project.
Bochs can be compiled and used in a variety of modes, some which are still in development. The typical use of Bochs is to provide complete x86 PC emulation, including the x86 processor, hardware devices, and memory.
This allows you to run OSes and software within the emulator on your workstation, much like you have a machine inside of a machine. For instance, lets say your workstation is a Unix/X11 workstation, but you want to run Win95 applications.
Bochs will allow you to run Win 95 and associated software on your Unix/X11 workstation, displaying a window on your workstation, simulating a monitor on a PC.

VMD is a molecular visualization program for displaying, animating, and analyzing large biomolecular systems using 3-D graphics and built-in scripting. VMD supports computers running Mac OS X, UNIX, or Windows, is distributed free of charge, and includes source code.
VMD is a molecular graphics program designed for the interactive visualization and analysis of biopolymers such as proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, and membranes.
VMD is a general application for displaying molecules containing any number of atoms and is similar to other molecular visualization programs in its basic capabilities.
VMD includes built-in support for high-end quad-buffered stereoscopic rendering which can be used in projection theatres as well as desktop graphics workstations.
Sterescopic display aids significantly in the perception of three dimensional structures and has been a key feature in VMD since its first release. VMD also provides support for inexpensive game-oriented stereo glasses, and even anaglyphic (Red/Blue) stereo.

- Support for 3-D capture with Acrobat 3-D, for creation of documents which embed 3-D molecular structures.
- VMD renderings can now use Tachyons advanced ambient occlusion lighting for tremendously improved 3-D renderings of molecular graphics. This advanced lighting mode can greatly enhance the shading of pores and channels, structures with cavities, and other cases which typically require the use of depth cueing for better depth perception.
- VMD now supports the nVidia "Gelato" GPU-accelerated production quality rendering package. VMD exports scenes in Gelatos native PYG file format, as well as the RenderMan RIB format.
- By default VMD will now use all of the available processors to accelerate parallelized portions of the code which currently include several structure analysis routines, Interactive MD, and ray tracing.
- Overall per-atom memory use has been significantly decreased. VMD now uses just over half as much memory per atom compared with previous versions, leaving more space available for additional trajectory frames or for more molecules to be loaded at once.
- VMD structure loading and analysis scalability have been significantly improved. VMD has been successfully tested loading and analyzing structures of up to 72,000,000 atoms.
- Automatic bond determination algorithm now runs up to 3 times faster on single processor systems, and uses multiple processors for improved performance on multicore processors and multiprocessor workstations.
- Drastically improved multi-thousand-file structure loading performance when display update is disabled. This benefits batch mode VMD analysis jobs involving analysis of thousands of structures, e.g. loading and searching large subsets of the PDB.

trading shim is a command-line and dbms controlled interface to the socket-based API of Interactive Brokers Trader Workstation, abbreviated as the IB tws socket api, or simply tws.
That api has a number of advantages for our purposes, including the freely available Trader Workstation, comprehensive feeds and archives for tick and history data, a paper account ideal for software testing, and low transaction costs.
The shim consults the product database at initial startup, and from then on uses in-memory lookup to translate brief text commands from the downstream to the much longer binary requests of the tws api.
trading-shim serializes the resulting event stream and copies the text to any of a number of user-selected output channels. The shim command interface provides an alternative to the existing tws gui interfaces, permitting you to use downstream programs, whether gui or not, to drive the tws through its api.
trading-shim is written in C, and although developed on Linux, trading-shim should be able compile and run on any modern Unix-like platform.

The CUDA Toolkit is a C language development environment for CUDA-enabled GPUs.
In a matter of a few years, the programmable graphics processor unit has
developed into an absolute computing workhorse. With multiple cores driven by very high memory bandwidth, todays GPUs offer incredible resources for both graphics and non-graphics processing.

- Exclusive Device Mode - This system configuration option allows an application to get exclusive use of a GPU, guaranteeing that 100% of the processing power and memory of the GPU will be dedicated to that application. Multiple applications can still be run concurrently on the system, but only one application can make use of each GPU at a time. This configuration is particularly useful on Tesla cluster systems where large applications may require dedicated use of one or more GPUs on each node of a Linux cluster.
