Use MP3 Sherlock to import your MP3 discs. Then, you wont have to insert the disc one by one to find the MP3 you want. MP3 Sherlock can easily find the MP3 for you and tell you which disc the MP3 resides.
Find your MP3 easily and quickly by typing the title, artist, album or genre of the MP3 youre looking for, MP3 Sherlock will list the matched MP3 in a second. Even if you provide only partial information, MP3 Sherlock can find it as well.
ID3 Tags: MP3 Sherlock reads ID3 Tags, such as title, artist, album and genre, of each MP3 while importing the disc. This way, you can search for the MP3 you want by using this information.
More Than Words: You can create samples for each MP3 while importing thedisc. Samples are a short version of the original MP3. By listening to the sample, you can confirm the search results.

Find Family is an AppleScript droplet that when provided with a file will output all other files with the same creator code.

This is most useful for finding files when "uninstalling" a program because you can find all the documents and preference files created by the application (if it set the creator type correctly).

The Cat Search plugin implements the PBCatSearch function of the Mac OS File Manager. This is a very fast routine to find specific types of files on a volume. The MacOS tool Sherlock (aka Find File) uses this function to do its quick search on volumes.
This plugin also shows how you can allow your RB app to access complex data structures inside the plugin without having to create a REALbasic Control or Class, something that is not yet possible for Windows plugins (the trick is that you create a temporary structure inside the plugin and then provide accessor functions to get and set the individual elements of that structure).
