Mail Scripts 2.9.1 comes as a combination of AppleScript Studio applications for Mail and Address Book offering additional features or simplified workflow. Mail Scripts are fully localized in English, German, Dutch, French, Italian, Greek, Brazilian Portuguese, and Norwegian. Mail Scripts consists of the following scripts:

1. Add Addresses (Mail): Add addresses found in the selected messages (in the header fields "From", "To", "Cc", and "Bcc") to the Address Book. This is much more flexible than the "Add Sender to Address Book" available in Mail and provides a convenient way for creating mailing lists.
2. Archive Messages (Mail): Move messages from the selected mailbox(es) to an archive mailbox or export them to standard mbox or plain text files for backup purposes or import into other applications. You can select to move all messages or only messages sent within or certain period as well filter messages based on their read and flagged status.
3. Change SMTP Server (Mail): Switch between different already defined SMTP servers or define a new one. This is especially useful if you are using your computer in more than one location and have to switch servers for several accounts at once.
4. Create Rule (Mail): Create a new rule based on the first of the selected messages. This saves you the trouble of copy/pasting address or other info between the message and the rule window and provides a much quicker way for setting up a rule with multiple criteria/actions.
5. Remove Duplicates (Mail): Locate all duplicate messages found in the selected mailbox(es) and move them to a separate mailbox for easy removal (duplicate matching is based on the unique message header "Message-Id").
6. Schedule Delivery (Mail): Allows you to send individual messages at predefined times (this script uses iCal for scheduling message delivery).
7. Send all Drafts (Mail): Immediately send all messages in the "Drafts" folders for all accounts. This saves you from having to open each draft in order to send it.
8. Open Mailbox, Open Message (Mail): Two small faceless scripts which will open mailboxes with new messages or the new messages themselves when run as a rule action.
9. Filter Sent Messages (Mail): Another faceless scripts which will apply your rules to the messages in the "Sent" mailbox.
10. Export Addresses (Address Book): Export addresses from the Address Book into tab-delimited text files. You can select which groups and which fields you want to export.
11. Search Addresses (Address Book): Find all addresses inside the Address Book matching one or more criteria. As opposed to the "Search" function built into the Address Book, this lets you search in any field as well as for empty and non-empty fields. As an example, you might use this script to search for all phone numbers with a certain area code in order to update your contacts after an area code change.

Enhancements: Version 1.2: New Copy, Move and Checkout scripts, better Leopard and MacPorts compatibility.

Requirements:

• Command-line Subversion client is still required, but the scripts dont require any configuration (path to the binary will be auto-detected).

New features for GanttPV are most often introduced as scripts. The list at the bottom of this page describes all of the current scripts and what they do.

The version number of a script shows the year/month/day when it was lasted updated. Periodically a new scripts release is created.

A scripts release contains the latest versions of all of the scripts as of the release date. You can either download individual scripts (using the scripts Name link) or the most recent scripts release (using the scripts link in the Download GanttPV area).

This set of scripts was written to help rate songs on headless Macs running iTunes. It basically comes down to providing an easy way to rate songs with just a keyboard. It provides verbal feedback for the user as well, so you know if it worked.
NOTE: iTunes must be the front running application in order for these apps to work. There are lots of switchers that can make this happen (there are also some workarounds I can share as well, but they are harder to configure, so not documented here).
Enhancements:
- The "?" option now announces the current rating of the song.
- The "?" option only changes the rating of a song if it is changed from the current rating.

Ricochet Modem Scripts is a set of two Modem Scripts for Ricochet modems (both for the original 28kbps and the new 128kbps modems). Modem Scripts are used with "Apple Remote Access" (ARA 2.0, 2.1), "Open Transport/PPP" (OT/PPP) and Remote Access 3.x.

The advantages of these scripts over the Ricochet script provided by Apple are:
• The 128k version sets the serial port to maximum speed, which is 230400 bps.
• Disconnect (hangup) is faster
• The 28k version can even reset the modem at the beginning of a call when it is still online from a previous connection (which can happen if your computer had crashes and was hard-reset). This could probably work in the 128k script, too, but I did not find the time to implement and test that yet. Let me know if you need that feature for the new modem, too.

The Indigo/Phlink Scripts integrate the Phlink telephony product with the Indigo home control server by dynamically building and speaking a menu of options over the phone, based on your home control setup.
Ovolab Phlink automatically answers telephone calls and identifies the caller based on Caller ID. The caller can interact with Ovolab Phlink by pressing touch tone key sequences, which in turn trigger actions in Indigo. Indigo then communicates with devices throughout the house by using X10 technology.
Main features:
- Execute Indigo Action Groups (lighting scenes, house modes, etc.)
- Hear the on/off status of Devices
- Hear the brightness level of lamp and light modules
- Turn on or off any Device
- Brighten or dim lamp and light modules.
Enhancements:
- new call-out script for calling your mobile or office phone to remotely notify you of emergencies, such as motion detected alarms, power failures, or pipes freezing.

Ive written up some Applescripts for Eudora X to encrypt, decrypt, sign and verify plain text messages using the MacOS X port of Gnu Privacy Guard (GnuPG). GnuPG is suppose to be compatible with PGP, so this replaces some of the functionality of the PGP plugin for classic Eudora.

The Eudora-GPG Scripts scripts are written mainly in AppleScript with a few one-liners sent to Unix via the do shell script AppleScript command. The intention is to minimize the number items that have to be installed on the Unix side.

The temptation is to do it all in Unix with say one large Perl script. However, this would make user interaction cumbersome as it would be difficult to pass messages between the user and the Perl script. As such, running time is only a secondary consideration in the design of these scripts.
