yEnc TZ is a simple, freeware, program that decodes yEnc encoded files.
yEnc TZ is much less useful than it used to be, because the current version of MT-Newswatcher, version 3.4, handles yEncs directly, making this program unnecessary. But yEnc TZ may still be useful if you are using a newsreader with poor yEnc support.<<less

Maintidget (Maintenance Scripts Widget) gives you a Dashboard Widget which provides the following functions:
- Display the last time the daily, weekly, and monthly OS X Maintenance Scripts (a.k.a Cron Tasks) were run.
- Run the OS X Maintenance Scripts on demand. Just enter your administrator password and click the Run Scripts button. Maintidget is the first Dashboard Widget to provide this feature!
- New in version 1.1: Select which scripts you want to run (the daily script must be run at all times).
- New in version 1.2: Now works with admin accounts that dont have a password assigned.
- New in version 1.3: Click Daily/Weekly/Monthly labels to open logs in the Console. Check for updates using a link in the widget. Slick redesign by Jason Jacques that includes multiple skins!
- New in version 1.4: New authentication logic should reduce false-negatives when running scripts and should also help those with blank passwords.
Now you can keep tack of when your Mac runs the scripts, and force them to run in case you need to. These maintenance scripts perform the following tasks:
Please note that the weekly script can take a long time to run (up to 10 minutes depending on the speed of the computer). During this time the "Running Scripts" message will show in Maintidget. DailyVerse 2.1
Daily Verse - A dashboard widget that displays verses from www.chritsnotes.org. more>> Why should you have to remember to clean old junk from your Mac you dont want or need? Shouldnt a computer be able to remember for you?
Macaroni is a tool which handles regular maintenance for Mac OS X, including the Mac OS X repair privileges process as well as Unix-style maintenance. You could do this yourself, but dont you have more interesting things to do with your time?
Macaroni remembers for you!
Macaroni runs these maintenance tasks on a regular schedule, regardless of when your Mac is on. If a scheduled maintenance task is not run when its normally scheduled, Macaroni automatically ensures that its run at the next opportunity, whenever the Mac is on.
Macaroni helps you by:
- Running improved versions of Mac OS X Unix maintenance, to clean out temporary and junk files that dont get removed otherwise.
- Repairing permissions.
- Removing language-specific files you dont need (save GB of disk space).
- Running your own custom maintenance jobs.<<less

PseudoAnacron 1.5.1
PseudoAnacron is a useful utility which helps you do some periodic maintenance tasks at specific times. more>>
PseudoAnacron 1.5.1 is a useful utility which helps you do some periodic maintenance tasks at specific times.
There are daily, weekly, and monthly periodic tasks that are launched in the middle of the night. If your Mac is not powered up 24 hours a day, probably some (or all) of those tasks are never (or seldom) performed. You can find utilities around the net that allow you to manually launch those tasks, others (like anacron) that, once installed in the system, are repeatedly called to check any skipped cron task.
PseudoAnacron takes a different approach: at login (its a startup application) it checks if the periodic daily/weekly/monthly task was skipped and in that case the task is launched; after that, PseudoAnacron quits, wasting no more CPU cycles.
Enhancements: Added the administrator name field in preferences: now you can use PseudoAnacron with non-administrator accounts.
Requirements:
- OS X 10.4 - 10.5.x.
- Universal Binary.
