Flickcurl 1.13 is a versatile C library for the Flickr API, handling creating the requests, signing, token management, calling the API, marshalling request parameters and decoding responses. It uses libcurl to call the REST web service and libxml2 to manipulate the XML responses.
Flickcurl supports all of the API (see Flickcurl API coverage for details) including the functions for photo/video uploading, browsing, searching, adding and editing comments, groups, notes, photosets, categories, activity, blogs, favorites, places, tags, machine tags, institutions, pandas and photo/video metadata. It also includes a program flickrdf to turn photo metadata, tags, machine tags and places into an RDF triples description.
Enhancements:
- Added function flickcurl_source_uri_as_photo_id() to get photo IDs from full raw 'farm' image URLs.
- Added command getphotoid to the command-line utility to allow this to be called.
- Added function flickcurl_get_current_request_wait() so applications can know when flickcurl will delay - sleep(2) - in order to let the web service rate limiting work. This allows the application to avoid this and try again later if it desires, rather than have Flickcurl freeze the entire application (if single threaded).
- Use a dynamic buffer size for request URI construction to avoid crashing when dealing with requests with e.g. long lists of of photo IDs that exceeded the "big enough" buffer for a URI.
- After the above problem, reviewed the other fixed buffer sizes in the code and they are all for known fixed uses such as formatting a decimal number (of known size) into a string. None of the remaining ones can be influenced by data passed by API calls.

PandoCalendar X is a useful Mac-only program that places a fully functional calendar on your desktop. The look is completely customizable.
You can change the calendars font, size, and the colors used to draw the calendar; the background can be entirely transparent, so you can still see your desktop picture; you can center the current week (so you are always able to look back and ahead a full month at a time).
PandoCalendar can display the numerical number of the weeks of the year, display the calendar with European style weeks (Monday being the first day and Sunday being the last), assign notes to any day of the year by clicking on the day in the calendar, and set alarms to remind you of time sensitive events.
You may also have PandoCalendar automatically plot the days you work. Great for people who dont have a Monday-Friday work schedule!

Hydromancy is an OpenGL screensaver for OS X. One of my favorite books when I was younger was about a panda bear who had a box of paints and started mixing up the different colors. This screensaver is exactly like that book, except now the panda bear is an amorphous blob and instead of mixing paint, hes just sort of oozing around the screen.
Options are included to control the number of liquid blobs moving on screen as well as the variety of blob colors.
Completly freeware.
Enhancements:
- New Colors tab in Configure panel enables you to exert more control over the colors of the blobs.
- New advanced option lets you turn on an experimental 3D rendering mode. (This doesnt look so great at the moment.)
- Fixed a rendering bug that caused the blob edges to occasionally flicker.

Kung-Tunes (was iTunesTrackInfo) retrieves the currently playing audio track in iTunes and uploads it to a webserver. Any scripts on that webserver can then access the uploaded file to dynamically display iTunes tracks on a webpage.

Kotoba is a simple aid for increasing your Japanese vocabulary (and can also be used to learn Korean, Chinese, and so forth). It is based on the not so unconvential idea that increased exposure to words will help consolidate your memory of them. The implementation of this idea is by repeatedly showing words in a small window that you can keep visible in the background while you work on your stuff.
