ClamXav 2.0 beta is a powerful virus checker. While there are currently no viruses which affect OS X, you can never be too sure. If you have any friends/colleagues using Windows (or indeed if you use MS Office on OS X), then you really ought to be checking every file you send/receive. Don't forget, VirtualPC can become infected just like any ordinary Windows PC.
While the app itself is quite small to download, don't let that fool you. It's very powerful and effective. I run it against all my incoming email and every file I download from the web and it's amazing just how many viruses fly in from unprotected friends and games websites. Do everyone a favour and use this, make the e-world a slightly safer place!
