Get Traffic Map 1.0 is one of the most advantageous tools to figure out how bad your commutes would tend to be.
The solution: An AppleScript that opens a Google Map centered on the Bay Area with the traffic information layer turned on. It then takes a screenshot and saves it in the "Traffic" folder on the desktop, with the date and time as part of the file name. Finally, it opens the screenshot in Graphic Converter and crops it so just the map is visible.
This script runs every 15 minutes from 7-9am and 4-6pm on weekdays using the following cron command: 0,15,30,45 7,8,16,17 * * 1-5 /usr/bin/osascript /Users/ian/Desktop/Traffic/GetTrafficMap.scpt

Ottawa Traffic Info gives access to all Traffic Cameras for the city of Ottawa. Cameras (11) are available from the COMPASS system along Hwy 417. The City of Ottawa also uses 51 cameras to monitor traffic at many major intersections.
The widget cycles through each picture every 12 seconds. Cameras are available in one of 2 groups and individual cameras can be selected or deleted from the group. Also includes links to Ottawa weather radar and satellite.

Tennessee Traffic Cameras 1.3 is a convenient widget which can display traffic conditions from across the state of Tennessee, all in one place. The traffic widget ties into the TDOT Smartway Information System, the city of Brentwood, the city of Franklin and the city of Murfreesboro.
Currently the widget provides views of traffic cameras for the cities of Brentwood, Chattanooga, Franklin, Knoxville, Memphis, Murfreesboro, and Nashville. As other cities come online, they will be added to the widget as well.
