Using the "Copy To..." and "Move To..." v1.0 applescripts written by Nicholas J. Schneble (available here), these actions allow you to select items in the Finder and copy or move (depending on which action you choose) them to a new location of your choice.
There is a bug in the "Move To..." action that occasionally flashes an error message, but it doesnt seem to affect performance and the message disappears as quickly as it comes. I dont know what the problem is and, as long as the action works like its supposed to, I dont much care.
Use in "Finder Plugin" mode install by double-clicking the included applescript.

As a longtime Windows user, I have become quite accustomed to having the "Copy To" and "Move To" items right at my fingertips in the Windows Explorer toolbar. So when I bought my first PowerBook several months ago I was at a loss, because not only did these items not exist in the Finder, there was really no easy way to move files at all!
So in my frustration I created this simple Applescript droplet that works just like the "Move To" item from Windows Explorer. Drag and drop files on this applications icon in the Finder to move those files to another folder on your computer. It will even work across separate volumes. Brilliant!

Special Move 1.1 serves as a drag'n'drop application for enabling or disabling the auto-extraction feature of disc-images (".dmg" files) that was silently introduced with MacOS X v10.2.
About "auto-extraction": If you enable auto-extraction for a particular disc-image, "Disk Copy" won't mount this disc-image, instead it will copy the content of the disc-image to the folder that holds the disc-image. If the disc-image holds multiple files it will wrap those files inside a new folder. Last not least the disc-image will be automatically moved to the trash and "Disc Copy" will disable auto-extraction for the disc-image.

Whenever you try to move the window of a folder that this script is attached to, a dialog will ask if you really meant to move it. If the dialog is ignored for 6 seconds it will close itself and move the window back to where it was.

Move to iTunes 1.1r2 is a tool to transfer audio and video files dropped onto it to your iTunes library. When the original files are on your hard drive, this happens nearly instantly, even for massive video files, and leaves no duplicate files on the drive. In the case of video files, it also sets them to resume where you left off, and so they will not play during shuffle play.
Why? The primary use of this is to add DVD movies Ive converted for my iPod with Handbrake to iTunes, without having to wait a long time for them to copy, without having to manually trash the duplicate original, and without having to manually set the "Remember playback position" and "Skip when shuffling" options every time.
Enhancements:
- corrected confusing (and incorrect!) use of the term "Automator Action" - it is now referred to as a "Finder Automator plugin". The plugin installer and uninstaller were changed to reflect this.
Requirements:
- Version 1.1r2 of Move to iTunes has been tested with iTunes 7.0.1 and Mac OS X 10.4.8 - it may work with earlier versions, but that has not been tested.

It seems simple, but since it took me 20 minutes to figure out the syntax, I thought Id contribute it. I have built into my Rules my own personal junk mail filter which puts suspect items into a folder called "Junk" which is a subfolder of my "Inbox". Since this collects a couple hundred messages a day, I needed to move all these messages to "Deleted Items" once a day or so. This script does it for me. I run it automatically, once a day, from a schedule.
You could also simply "delete" the messages, but I want to leave them in Deleted Items for a day or so, just in case one of them is not junk.
