This is made possible because a full Toast installation is completely compatible with iTunes/Disc Burner with the exception of one Disc Burner extension: USB Authoring Support. If this extension is enabled, Toast usually (there are exceptional cases) will not recognize the USB CD burner, but iTunes/Disc Burner will run with no problems. If it is disabled, Toast will recognize the CD burner but Disc Burner will not run (it will display the "Insert blank media to begin" but will not go beyond this step).
The script will determine which configuration is active and allow the user to chose to maintain the status quo or to switch to the other configuration.
