Digital cameras attach information to each photo you take. This information - called EXIF data - contains the time-stamp, aperture and shutter time amongst other things.
However some brands of cameras also attach a lot of (arguably) extraneous data. This is inconvenient for a number of reasons, but most of all the fact that iPhoto caches all this data in its Library file resulting in slower operation after each new import of photos. Affected camera brands include: Casio, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Nikon and Pentax - amongst others.
Purpose
This application will seamlessly clean your photos of extraneous exif data prior to importing into iPhoto.
Warning!
This application deletes data it believes is redundant. Please work on a backup copy of your images if you are worried about data loss. Also note that this software may not work with your images. Use at your own risk.

For all listed cameras SilverFast also fully supports Adobe DNG as an input format. If a camera is not listed as supported, not all camera information might be present in the DNG file. foo2zjs is an open source printer driver for printers that use the Zenographics ZjStream wire protocol for their print data, such as the Minolta/QMS magicolor 2300 DL or Konica Minolta magicolor 2430 DL.
ZjStream printers are raster printers which happen to use a very efficient wire protocol which was developed by Zenographics and licensed by most major printer manufacturers for at least some of their product lines.
ZjStream is just one of many wire protocols that are in use today, such as Postscript, PCL, Epson, etc.
On Mac OS X Jaguar and later, printing with foo2zjs requires Ghostscript (an open-source PostScript interpreter), Foomatic-RIP (a CUPS filter script) and a foomatic PPD for each supported printer. The foomatic PPDs are included in the installation package.
The foo2zjs installer for Mac OS X includes support for these printers.
