Mine Swept 1.46
Mine Swept is a minesweeper game more>>
Armed with this information, you then go forth and determine which squares in this field of squares are not hiding a mine. This project came about because I was unhappy with all the other Minesweeper offerings for OSX out there.
So rather than complain endlessly about them, I decided to write my own and get exactly what I wanted in a Minesweeper game.
Main features:
- Control-click, command-click OR right-click to flag mines.
- Uses double-click action to reveal the neighbors of a square that you think are safe.
- Uses the same color values from the Win32 version.
- Custom minefield settings.
- Ability to highlight the neighbors of a square (for people with bad eyes like myself)
- Option to show a safe square for that first move.
- Keeps track of your best time for each of the difficulty levels.
- FREE! (well, technically, donation-ware with a nag screen that you can dismiss permanently without paying).
Enhancements:
- Forgot to flip the switch to make Mine Swept a Universal Binary so yeah, for all you Mac-Intel owning fans, Mine Swept should no longer run under Rosetta.
- Player is now prevented from flagging more mines than are listed as being hidden (i.e., no more -1 mines left on the field).
MineRogue 2.0.4a
MineRogue is a very simple game of crossing the minefield more>>
Each turn you get the number of mines that are around you, so as you move, you can guess where they are actually placed.

Mine Sweeper 1.0b
Mine Sweeper brings you an attractive and challenging game for all ages. more>>
Mine Sweeper 1.0b brings you an attractive and challenging game for all ages. The object is simple. Click on the blocks, and don't hit a mine. When you click on a block, and it shows a blank spot, you're fine.
There are no mines next to you, and by next to you, that means left, right, up, down, or diagonal of that square. A "1" means that square is next to one mine. A "2" means two, and so on. Try to clear all the spots without hitting any mines!
If you think you know where a mine is, right click (CTRL+click) on the square once. If you aren't sure, enable question markers on the backside, then right click on a square twice. Its simple, fun, and sleek.
Enhancements:
- Release notes not available currently
Requirements:
- Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

Mined 2000.15
Powerful text editor supporting modern interaction paradigms, and with a fast, small-footprint behavior more>> Powerful text editor supporting modern interaction paradigms, and with a fast, small-footprint behavior
Mined is a powerful text editor with a comprehensive yet concise and easy-to-use user interface supporting modern interaction paradigms, and fast, small-footprint behaviour.
Mined provides both extensive Unicode and CJK support offering many specific features and covering special cases that other editors are not aware of (like auto-detection features and automatic handling of terminal variations, or Han character information). It was the first editor that supported Unicode in a plain-text terminal (like xterm or rxvt).
Basically, mined is an editor tailored to reliable and efficient editing of plain text documents and programs, with features and interactive behaviour designed for this purpose.
Mined runs on many platforms: Unix (Mac OS X/Linux/Sun/HP/BSD and more), Windows (cygwin, Interix), DOS (djgpp), including legacy systems (old Unix systems). Was also ported to VMS, EMX, and even still compiles with Turbo-C.
Main features:
- Intuitive user interface
- Logical and consistent concept of navigating and editing text (without ancient line-end handling limitations or insert/append confusion)
Supports various control styles:
- Editing with command control, function key control, or menu control
- Navigation by cursor keys, control keys, mouse or scrollbar
- Concise and comprehensive menus (driven by keyboard or mouse)
- "HOP" key paradigm doubles the number of navigation functions that can be most easily reached and remembered by intuitively amplifying the associated function
- Immediate adjustment if the window size is changed, in any state of interaction
- Extensive Unicode support, including double-width and combining characters, script highlighting, various methods of character input support (mapped keyboard input methods, mnemonic and numeric input), supporting CJK, Vietnamese, Hebrew, Arabic, and other scripts
- Extensive accented character input support, including multiple accent prefix keys.
- Support for Greek (monotonic and polytonic).
- Support for Cyrillic accented characters.
- Support of bidirectional terminals, Arabic ligature joining
- East Asian character set support: handling of major CJK encodings (including GB18030 and full EUC-JP with combining characters)
- Support for a large number of 8 bit encodings (with combining characters for Vietnamese, Thai, Arabic, Hebrew)
- Support of CJK input methods by enhanced keyboard mapping including multiple choice mappings (handled by a pick list menu); characters in the pick list being sorted by relevance of Unicode ranges
- Han character information with description and pronunciation
- Auto-detection of text character encoding, edits files with mixed character encoding sections (e.g. mailboxes), transparent handling and auto-detection of UTF-16 encoded files
- Auto-detection of UTF-8 / CJK / 8 bit terminal mode and detailed features (like different Unicode width and combining data versions)
- Comprehensive and flexible (though standard-conformant) set of mechanisms to specify both text and terminal encodings with useful precedences.
- Flexible combination of any text encoding with any terminal encoding.
- Encoding support tested with: xterm, mlterm, rxvt, cxterm, kterm, hanterm, kde konsole, gnome-terminal, linux console
- Many text editing features, e.g. paragraph wrapping, auto-indentation and back-tab, smart quotes (with quotation marks style selection and auto-detection) and smart dashes
- Search and replacement patterns can have multiple lines
- Cross-session paste buffer (copy/paste between multiple even subsequent or remote invocations of mined)
- Optional Unicode paste buffer mode with implicit conversion
- Marker stack for quick return to previous text positions
- Multiple paste buffers (emacs-style)
- Program editing features, HTML support and syntax highlighting, identifier and function definition search, also across files; structure input support
- Text and program layout features; auto-indentation and undent function (back-tab), numbered item justification
- Systematic text and file handling safety, avoiding loss of data
- Visible indications of special text contents (TAB characters, different line-end types, character codes that cannot be displayed in the current mode)
- Full binary transparent editing with visible indications (illegal UTF-8 or CJK, mixed line end types, NUL characters, ...)
- Print function that works in all text encodings
- Optional password hiding
- Optional emacs command mode

Fixes iCal time zone when switching between time zones. more>>
If youre an iCal user and you travel, you may have noticed that whenever you change your Macs time zone iCal moves all of your appointments by the difference in hours between the old time zone and the new one.

i Cal Time Zone Fixer addresses this problem by forcing iCal to keep all dates in the current system time zone. Since theres no difference between the calendars time zone and the systems, iCal leaves the times alone.

Zoner 1.4.1
Zoner offers users a free and open source web application used for DNS zone managing. more>> Zoner 1.4.1 offers users a free and open source web application used for DNS zone managing. The authoritative copy of each domain remains in the original zone file, which Zoner reads & writes as needed, as opposed to storing domain details in a database. This means that zone files can still be edited manually and Zoner will pick up the changes as necessary.
Major Features:
- Domain details remain in original zone files, not in a database.
- Zoner reads & writes actual zone files, which can also be safely modified outside of Zoner.
- Zone serial numbers are incremented automatically when changes are made.
- Zoner can signal bind to reload a zone, via rndc.
- An audit of all zone changes is maintained for each domain. Any previous version of a zone file can be inspected and zones can be rolled back to any previous version.
Requirements:
- Zoner is a Python application built with the TurboGears framework. Both Python and TurboGears (version 1.x) are required.
- Zoner requires the easyzone and dnspython Python packages for DNS/zone management.

Simple Loader 1.0
Simple Loader - Treats clipboard contents as a file name and opens it more>>
This is a combination of two concepts that solved a lingering problem of mine. It treats the contents of of the clipboard as the name of a file, then looks for that file in the same directory as itself, and opens it. Simple enough, but it eliminates many, many headaches, especially in conjunction with other authoring programs.
I use this in Flash CD presentations to load external files on a Mac. Theres a Windows equivalent of this, but its kludgy and requires one copy of itself for every file that you want to load. I also find it more elegant than Flashs getURL() function, as this doesnt require a web browser to open documents.
