People of the Middle Kingdom is a screen saver made with Derrick Changs beautiful, positive, and thought provoking photography shot in China. Each image was hand picked and donated to The Library Project by Derrick. Please feel free to download the screensaver for Apple or Windows to your right.

This application permits you to read a little part of a file at your preferred offset.
Its useful e.g. to know the kind of a very big file without any extension and the Type or Creator code (you cant open it with a text editor).

You just drag the file over fileSifter and view its contents to know if its a JPEG, a FreeHand file or an application, etc.

You can also read an information placed at middle or at end of file, like EXIF data of a corrupted photo, etc.


All the data can be viewed as plain text and hexadecimal, decimal or octal value.

MacTD 1.2 is regarded as a remarkable and splendid Hypercard stack written to assist Tournament Directors in running a Go Tournament.

It was written with the intention of being as flexible and robust as possible. A goal was to permit TDs to make their own decisions as to how tournaments should be run. Every attempt has been made to allow "irregularities" to flow easily into the information stream: late arrivals, drops, wrong handicaps, playing the wrong opponent, switching ranks in the middle of the tournament, and pairings either dictated or forbidden by the TD. This program will make the job of running a tournament much easier.

Music Machine 8 1.0 is a product including the short speech that Neil Armstrong made when stepping on to the surface of the moon. 'That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind' The music machine takes each word of this sentence, along with both the pause that Armstrong left in the middle of the sentence and the beep sound that was a feature of the communications between the earth and the astronauts, and plays them in a random order. In looped mode the machine plays indefinitely until stopped by the user, in one shot mode the machine plays each event only once (there is therefore, an extremely small chance that the sentence will be played as it was originally spoken).

Palette is a simple painting program that even children should findeasy to use. Palette runs on both Windows and Mac OS. Palette-createdpictures are saved in a cross-platform format that can be opened witheither the Windows or Mac versions of Palette.
Palette can also save pictures as platform-specific files (PICTs on the Mac and BMPs onWindows).
Palette has a few simple tools such as pencil, eraser,rectangle and oval, as well as a selection tool.

Binarytime is rather an experiment in programming excercises than a useful program… nevertheless, it’s a nice desktop window to watch – and hey: it’s showing the time!

The hours are shown left, the minutes in the middle and the seconds to the right. you can read the clock by adding the values of the swatches from top to bottom for each row.
