metronome 1.8
Metronome 1.8.2a
This is such a simple yet convenient metronome for Mac OS X. more>>
Metronome 1.8.2a is such a simple yet convenient metronome for Mac OS X. Most functions (start/stop, change tempo &etc) use only one key to facilitate one-handed operation. A unique Accelerator - begin a difficult piece slowly and gradually speed up by any rate to any maximum tempo. A Tempo Finder - use any key to tap a tempo and put it into the metronome. Save favourite settings for easy re-loading.
Metronome is designed with the practicing musician in mind which means that it's fast and easy to use. Nearly all of Metronome's functions and settings can be changed by using a single key. You won't have to put your instrument down to change the tempo (arrow keys) or the accent beat (number keys). Stop and start by tapping the space bar (or the Enter or Return keys).
Major Features:
- An accurate Tempo Finder which allows you to tap any key to set a tempo.
- Easy keyboard input to set two bell accents on any beat from 2 to 9, and a text field to enter any other arbitrary beat as the accent.
- Stop and start the metronome by pressing the space bar or the Enter or Return keys.
- Fast and easy tempo changing using buttons on the main window or the arrow keys.
- Easily change the sounds.
- The unique Accelerator which allows you to make Metronome speed up at a rate which you determine. This feature is designed to let you play a difficult passage at a slow tempo and gradually (at the rate you set) increase the tempo until it reaches whatever speed you want it to stop increasing.
- Save and re-load groups of settings so you can quickly reset favoured groups of settings.
- Runs at any tempo from 0.1 beats per minute (once every six minutes!) up to 999.9 bpm.
Enhancements:
- Beats per minute (bpm) in text fields now behave correctly on non-English systems.
- If you use English as your computer's language, there is no need to update to version 1.8.2a, but this version will also run fine on your system.
Requirements: Require Mac OS 10.3 or later

- Main window is now a normal window rather than a tool panel.
- It is resizable (and snaps to the content in the window)
- It memorizes its size from session to session.
- Tap Entry is now a drawer on the main window
- Subdivisions: Fixed the subdivisions so that when you are in a time signature where the beat is an eighth note, the subdivisions buttons and menu items reflect this change.
- Keyboard Control: Command-Space and Return activate the "Tap Beat" and "Start/Stop" buttons all the time.
- Space Bar activates "Tap Beat" and "Start/Stop" buttons only when the BPM Entry Text Field is locked. Otherwise the space bar puts a space in the BPM Entry Text Field.

Metronomic 0.32
Metronomic helps you count beats more>>
Metronomic is a widget for Dashboard OS X. Its a simple metronome that helps you count beats.
For those who are unfamiliar of what a metronome is, it is a device that comes in both analog and digital forms, where it counts beats and emits a sound to help musicians keep their rhythm constant.
I havent really been an avid Mac proponent.
Ive only been a Mac user since I got my MacBook Pro back in June, but I have to say its a satisfying feeling being able to easily create software for Dashboard which is a very powerful interface, but amplified by what you could use it for.
XMenu 1.8
XMenu brings back the Apple Menu to Mac OS X and includes also a complete application launcher more>>
Furthermore theres no explicit need for a configuration (e.g. creating lots of folders and aliases or adding items to user-defined setups) - just activate the menus you like.
All menus and submenus update themselves automatically just like the good old Apple Menu so its not necessary to refresh them manually.
In addition, XMenu optionally displays small or large icons and follows aliases and symbolic links. Finally, please note that contrary to most other solutions, this is neither a hack ("haxie") nor an unofficial menu extra.

- Improved Faster checking if files have a custom icon.
- Improved French localization.
- Improved Code updated for Mac OS X 10.4.x and future Mac OS X releases.
