tecomp is a command line compiler that currently works like an Eiffel interpreter. It compiles Eiffel source code into an internal representation and executes it in its virtual machine.
tecomp runs on Unix and Windows machines (64/32 bit, big/little endian) and on all machines which have gcc and the corresponding make utilities installed (requirements see below).

Circuit simulation is a way of building and testing virtual models of electronic devices. It is usually cheaper and quicker to simulate a design than to build a prototype. MacSpice, like most circuit simulators, requires a text-file description of the circuit as input. This 'netlist' is a list of components and the nodes they connect to. Users may prepare netlists with a text editor, or derive them from a circuit diagram using a third-party schematic-capture application. MacSpice then builds a numerical model of the circuit and analyses this.
A command interpreter (shell) is used to specify the types of analyses that are required and how the results should be processed, saved or displayed. The high quality of the MacSpice command interpreter makes the automation of tasks straightforward.
Simulation is a tool, not a magic-wand. The quality of the results depends on the accuracy of the netlist and the device models use. ERDDAP (the Environmental Research Divisions Data Access Program) aggregates scientific data from diverse local and remote sources and offers a simple, consistent way to download subsets of the data in common file formats and make graphs and maps.
This particular ERDDAP installation has oceanographic data (for example, data from satellites and buoys).
Without ERDDAP, when a person (or a computer program) looks on the Internet for a specific type of scientific data (for example, oceanographic data like satellite sea surface temperature data), there are many problems.

The app comes with a GUI configurator so that you do not have to edit text files. When you add an app to a category, it is removed from the springboard list so that it no longer shows up on the main desktop. After you have removed the program from the category it is returned back to the springboard.
