From the New Eden solar system, where the gate of EVE once led to the old world, humans expanded in all directions at a furious pace, exploring and colonizing rapidly.
Then, unexpectedly and seemingly unprovoked, the EVE gate collapsed in an apocalyptic catastrophe of a scale never before witnessed by the human race, ruining the New Eden system in the process. Thousands of small colonies were left in complete isolation to fend for themselves, cut off from the old world. For millennia they endured, clinging to the brink of extinction, and only a handful managed to survive.
Of those that lasted, five were to rise up and become the major empires that, between them, hold the balance of power in the world of EVE. Today, they are known as the Amarr Empire, the Gallente Federation, the Caldari State, the Minmatar Republic, and the Jovian Empire. Additionally, the world is full of several small, independent factions and states.
For more than a century, the five empires have lived together in relative peace. Theyve continually strived to maintain this peace, as each faction realizes only too well the grave consequences of a massive inter-stellar war. Recent technological breakthroughs in FTL travel, and the ensuing increase in space travelers, have shaken, but not broken, the fragile peace... at least not yet.

Changes from previous version
· The autopilot avoidance system has been updated. Jita has been removed from being a preset default value in the avoidance system. A side effect of this is that any entries that you have added to the avoidance system will also be removed. We have done this as there was an unexpected side effect where any solar system that has been set to be avoided would show as being 2 billion jumps away. We are working on a full fix for this at present. This means that any solar system added to the avoidance system will display in your market as being 2 billion jumps away.
· The autopilot was ignoring certain links between systems. The map cache has been corrected so the autopilot will correctly plot a course to your destination.
· Outposts and Conquerable Stations were not displaying in the right click menu. We have identified the cause of this and fixed the issue.
With Massive Mail, you can attach files, folders and if you want, you can compress the attachments before add them to the messages.
Massive Mail allows you to use a delay between messages, por example you can set a delay of 60 seconds each 15 messages. You can configure this options in the Preferences.
Massive Mail uses tags to generate customized messages and you can personalize these tags in the window Preferences, but keep in mind that any text in the message will be replaced by the contact information that that tag represents.
Massive mail does not use the distribution list of Address Book, because email labels are more usefuls and dynamics. You can choose the group, the email label and the contacts that will be including at the time of generating the messages by giving click in the item Adressees of the toolbar.

Character progression takes place in the form of a variety of skills and other attributes, any combination of which can potentially open up new gameplay content (missions, ships, equipment, trade items, etc). General activity related to a skill can increase it (trading can increase the Commerce skill, etc), but taking on missions will generally increase skills that much faster.
Missions are offered by particular factions, with mission difficulty and availability increasing as the character becomes better known to the faction. Rising in the esteem of a given faction can itself yield better item prices, a wider item selection, and access to unusual "special" equipment available only to those who have proven themselves worthy.
It is possible to win many types of accolades and commendations from particular factions, all of which can help demonstrate the characters accomplishments. These and other character stats may be viewed by other users in a Character Information panel.

· Station cargo limits reduced from 200,000cu to 10,000cu. People with more than this will be unable to offload more items on stations that are over-capacity. FSO2 also allows your character to work as a shop keeper even when youre not online. In other MMORPGs youd have to hire a shop keeper but in FSO2 you are the shop keeper. FSO2 runs great in the background. You wont find it eating up all of your computer, and you dont need a computer with specs that doesnt even exist yet in order to run the game. We recommend an 800 mhz P3 or greater with 128 MB RAM (or a 500 mhz G3 with 256 MB RAM Mac).
FSO2 is free to play forever. You can log on and play without ever paying a penny. However, unregistered users will have some features disabled for them.
The full version of FSO2 is only $25 and it gives you access to everything the game has to offer. This is a one-time fee, not a subscription fee like other online RPGs.
