HTMLTemplate is a Python module which enables the user to convert HTML/XHTML templates into simple Python object models that can be manipulated through callback functions in your scripts. Fast, powerful and easy to use.

At ADHOC/MacHack 20, I created a small Dashboard widget with the help of Dori Smith.

After much laziness, I’m finally releasing it: the WTA Death Widget.

Based on the WTA Death Watch, it counts approximately how many people have died since the widget loaded.

Export PICT2PING 1.0.1 is regarded as a rather praiseworthy AppleScript Droplet that uses GUI scripting to automate the process of opening the .pict in Preview and exporting to .png.

Why use GUI scripting? The Preview application is not AppleScript aware. Why not use another graphic application instead? This script is as a workaround for dealing with .pict files extracted from iTunes 4 Artwork (via the Export Artwork script). The .pict file data is not standard and therefore can not be opened by graphic applications. When exported to .png format, the file can be manipulated in many graphic applications. Works in conjunction with the script Export Artwork.

DataVision is a reporting tool similar to Crystal Reports. Reports can be designed using a drag-and-drop GUI.
They may be run, viewed, and printed from the application or exported as HTML, XML, PDF, Excel, LaTeX2e, DocBook, or tab- or comma-delimited text files. The output files produced by LaTeX2e and DocBook can in turn be used to produce PDF, text, HTML, PostScript, and more.

DataVision is written in Java and runs almost anywhere. It can generate reports from databases or text data files. Any database with an available JDBC driver should work: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Informix, Microsoft Access, Progress, hsqldb, and more. Columns read from text files can be separated by any character.

Laser Scanner 2.0 is a rather praiseworthy program that models a type of laser scanner. The scanner generates patterns by drawing circles on circles. It demonstrates the property noticed with the real scanner; the pattern will sometimes appear to be three dimensional, and adjusting controls will rotate the shape. yet it does have dimensional properties and by using the correct values a 3D object can be manipulated. Laser Scanner has less control in these respects but is still fun.
