Main features:
- Created disk images will be located in the same folder as the file(s), folder(s) dropped.
- If more than one file or folder is dropped, a disk image will be created for each dropped item.
- It should work for Mac system versions 10.2 and later.
- No indication of progress is displayed. I usually keep it in the Dock so that I can drag items to it there and note when it has quit by the appearance of the Dock icon (the droplet quits when finished).
- Created disk images will be in compressed read-only format.

Main features:
- The proportions are always kept. The slider will allow you to scale the image to whole numbers, but if you want an exact height or width you can type it in.
- Check the preference on the back to convert shackled images to JPG. When converting an image with transparency (PNG, GIF or PSD) into a JPEG the transparent areas will be turned to white
- Your shackled image will be placed in the same folder as the original but .shkl" will be added before the extention. This makes it easier to find them later. The size of the image will also be added to the filename.
- The widget also serves as a tool for calculating ratios and constraining proportions for images that you dont want to scale with the widget.
- Image Shackle is only designed to work with one image at a time. The following file types are supported and must have the proper extention: JPEG, GIF, TIFF, PSD (they will be flattened), PNG, PICT, BMP.

Every image starts with the same universal base that then is stacked with .pkg or .mpkg files that you can custom build with tools like Composer, Iceberg or PackageMaker.
Using PKGImage you can then stack the order in which pkg files are installed after the base OS to make up your complete image with the click of a mouse.
Tick the options to set the startup disk, re-boot after imaging and enable Active Directory / Open Directory bindings. ByHost files are automatically renamed for User Template and all Users on the system. A report is automatically outputted to the server so you know which machines have been done, at what time and whats been installed.
Set the host / bind name automatically from an outputted .CSV file where name to MAC Address format will automatically populate the correct fields.
Add your own custom scripts to be run at the end of imaging and much, much more. Click the image button and sit back and let the tool do the rest for you.
Because the process is completely modular there is no need to re-image a computer because of a mistake or something was forgotten. Simply modify the original config file or create a new one and just get the system to update without erasing the computer or re-installing the base.
This also means that you will be saving space on the server hard drives.
For example a base image of 3-4GBs is the same file for all images, Office.pkg at 600MBs is still one file even if its assigned to 30 different image configurations.
