Make Invisible 2.1 is equipped many useful features which helps you easily create background applications in REALbasic. Drop your Mac OS X application (PEF format only) on the application or main window and create a new resource file with a modified plst resource. Now drop this resource file into your REALbasic project and compile it. The new compiled application is now invisible. This application is freeware and provided as is. Donations are welcome.

InVisibles is a simple utility that allows you to view invisible files in Mac OS X. Many configuration files are made invisible to the general user.

Just double-click the InVisibles icon, click "Visible" to make all of the invisible files become visible files. If you have carried out whatever processes you need to, double-click the InVisible icon again and this time click "Invisible" to make them all invisible again.

Whats different about this AppleScript utility:
Unlike other scripts that quit as soon as you select "Show the Invisible files" and then you must find the script again, this script reads the state of your invisible files and displays another dialog box until you are finished. This makes things much easier, especially if youre accessing the script through Spotlight.

Make Icon can read PDF files and uses the first pageto create the icon. On non PDF files, it tries to open the file as apicture using QuickTime and takes the main image inside the file.

Make OS X Alias is an AppleScript droplet that makes aliases from files droped onto it.

When an item is dropped onto this script, it will prompt you to select a location and name for an OS X Alias. OS X Aliases only seem to be useful when used inside folders on the dock. In all other cases, standard alias files seem to suffice.

Note: If you are toggling the visibility of a file on the desktop the changes wont take full effect until the finder is relaunched, or the file is moved to a different location.

This script allows you to choose and open an invisible file or folder without having to toggle file visibility in the Finder itself. Good for opening hidden system folders or files you have hidden yourself.

This script allows you to choose and delete an invisible file or folder without having to toggle file visibility in the Finder itself.
