Initially, tar archives were used to store files conveniently on magnetic tape. The name "Tar" comes from this use; it stands for tape archiver. Despite the utilitys name, Tar can direct its output to available devices, files, or other programs (using pipes), it can even access remote devices or files (as archives).

White_dune is a low level VRML97 tool for Unix/Linux/MacOSX and MsWindows. White_dune can read VRML97 files, display and let the user change the scenegraph/fields.
Unlike most highlevel tools, White_dune uses a light model based on the VRML97 standard.
White_dune is not finished yet, especially in the 3D preview window but even if you do not see the node/field in 3D, you can graphically change the values
Major Features:
- IndexedFaceSet nodes can be created via conversion from NurbsSurface nodes oder SuperFormula PROTOs or by "pure VRML97" export, but for some tasks you may prefer to work with a polygon mesh 3D modeller with VRML97 export and rework the results (e.g. color, texture, lightning, animation, interaction....) in White_dune.
- VRML97 (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) is the ISO standard for displaying 3D data over the Web via browser plugins ("HTML for realtime 3D").

LCVII gives you an effective and quick HP-67 calculator simulator which can be used for the Macintosh OS X platform. more>> LCVII 1.0.0 gives you an effective and quick HP-67 calculator simulator which can be used for the Macintosh OS X platform. It was conceived because you needed a calculator for my taxes and after downloading a bunch of RPN based calculators you found most of them wanting. Some were lacking basic features, others had so many features they were too confusing or cumbersome to use. You plugged in my HP-67, with its long-dead batteries and magnetic card reader, and copied the answers from display to tax-forms by hand.
At about the same time, an application to use as a springboard for diving into learning about Mac OS X application programming seems necessary. It seems that an RPN calculator is a good application for learning an object-oriented application framework,so, a couple of years, and lots of reading and debugging later, LXVII is ready for beta test.

The technology employed by FileVaporizer is nothing new. Youve probably seen it before. In fact, its a process that has been done many times over - and has probably been done better more>> The technology employed by FileVaporizer is nothing new. Youve probably seen it before. In fact, its a process that has been done many times over - and has probably been done better. So whats the deal?
The deal is that FileVaporizer is free. It was a fun little app to write, and it serves a function. There are other apps out there that do basically the same thing. Were not going to lie to you. But are they free? So what does FileVaporizer do, exactly? See, when you trash a file and erase it from your computer, it really doesnt erase the file. What happens is the space that that file occupies is flagged as blank space. Thats all. No actual erasing happens. Eventually you may add some files to your hard drive and that will write over the file you erased. However it may not write over that files space for quite a while, and even then it may only partially write over it. There exist programs that can un-erase the files on your hard drive, and they can be used to retrieve sensitive information from you computer which you thought you deleted! What FileVaporizer does to files which you wish to erase is to first write over them with random data and then delete them, thus making them unrecoverable. Pretty simple. We hope to release better versions in the future with more features (drag-n-drop, internet cache delete, etc.), but until then you get this version for free. What would be really excellent is if you would write to us and give us suggestions on future functionality you would like to see.
