It is very straight-forward to use DashLock. Just click on the lock and after a short animation, your computer with switch to the loginwindow while keeping you logged in.
During the small animation you can click on the lock again to cancel the system lock.

LockLock is a very simple droplet that lets you lock and unlock any file or folder. When a file or a folder is locked you will not be able to put it in the trash.
This is therefore a very simple way of preventing any accidental deletion of important stuff.
You might wonder why such an application has any use. It is true that you can simply lock a file from the Finder by showing its infos window and checking the "Locked" checkbox.
But this does not work for a folder ! The Finder does not give you any way to lock a folder. This is why I made LockLock.
