QXP Font Info is an AppleScript applet that lets you list the fonts in the current QuarkXPress document, including fonts imbedded in linked EPS files. Run this applet from the Finder, Apple Menu or OSA Menu. An editable version is also included.

Visual Font allows you to browse libraries of TrueType and bitmapped fontsthat can be easily viewed, printed, listed or duplicated, and withoutrestriction of number or size. VisualFont uses very few memory, theapplication is quite small, and it can still manage thousands of fonts.
The new search engine is able to find all fonts contained in any folder and itssubfolders, sort them, remove duplicates, and caches the search results todisk, so that you can stop the search process and resume it later.
Therendering engine now displays and prints text using multiple lines, and hasbeen greatly improved to fit professional needs. VisualFont uses drag anddrop intensively, it can interact with the Finder, and uses the latesttechnologies provided with MacOS 8 and MacOS 9.

Find A Word is a word game. There are five turns to a game and each turn lasts 30, 60 or 90 seconds, selectable by the user; a countdown is displayed to let you know when the end of the turn is near. When you click the "Start Game" button, you will see three vowels and five consonants in the Letter Pot field. Your goal is to make as many words as you can from these letters.
Enter Your Word and click on the "Enter" button (or press the Return key). To be accepted, a word must be made from the Letter Pot letters, be included in the Find A Word dictionary (no proper names, contractions or abbreviations) and be unique (not used before in this turn). If you do not want to wait until the end of the turn, click the "Start Turn" button to continue through your five turns. The "End Game" button clears all words and scoring. You get ten points for each word plus one point for each letter in the word. If you find 30 words before the end of a turn, the turn ends and you get 200 bonus points plus a time bonus (1/10/100 points per unused second for 90/60/30 seconds per turn).
At the end of five turns, your Total Score will be compared to the top ten scores. If your score is within the ten top scores, your name, score, number of turns that you received a bonus and your Time per Turn will be added to the High Scores table. The High Scores window can be accessed at any time from the menu bar. You can edit a name in the High Scores window by double-clicking a name, typing a new name, and pressing the "Enter" button.
The Find A Word dictionary includes over 80,000 words. You can add/subtract words using the Word Maintenance window accessed from the menu bar. When you first launch the Find A Word program, the default dictionary is saved to your hard drive. Changes (additions or deletions) are saved automatically and the revised dictionary is loaded at the beginning of the next session. You can click the "Use Default Word Set" button at any time. Warning: Clicking this button will overwrite your revised dictionary immediately. If you want to improve your play skills, you can find a list of words that could be made from your Letter Pot letters by selecting Improve Skills under the Help menu and following the steps. Sound can be turned on/off.
A Help window is available. This game was written in REALbasic and is freeware.

Fonts Manager is similar to the System 7.5.x Extensions Manager, but it is more like a DeskAccessory. It allows the enabling and disabling of font suitcases and printer fonts in Sets.

- AutoRecover functions correctly when FileVault is enabled Previously, setting the AutoRecover folder location (Word menu, Preferences command, File Locations) to a location inside a FileVault-protected home folder did not work. This has been fixed. FileVault is an Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) with 128-bit keys that secures your home folder by automatically encrypting the contents. - Security is improved when you open a document that has macros Word, Excel, and PowerPoint now support an additional level of security that affects macros that open other Office documents containing macros. You can use the Application.AutomationSecurity property to set the level of security desired. - Text changes to the font selected on the Font menu In some cases, a font change did not take effect when you used the Font menu. This happened when the WYSIWYG font and style menus check box was cleared in Preferences (on the Word menu, click Preferences, and then click the General tab) and then the Font menu was used to change the font of text in a document. This problem has been fixed. The text now changes to the font that you select in the Font menu.
- Swiss German proofing tools are correctly detected Previously, the Compatibility Report in Word erroneously reported the following: Swiss German proofing tools are not installed. This problem has been fixed. Text marked as Swiss German text is proofed using the German proofing tools, which are installed by default. The Compatibility Report no longer reports this issue.
- Text selection is improved Previously, when you double-clicked a word to select it, and then dragged the selection to include more words, Word sometimes selected the preceding word in addition to the words you selected. This problem has been fixed. Word no longer selects the word preceding the word you select.
