Linguistic Tree Constructor (LTC) is a program for analyzing text in terms of syntax trees. That is, it assists in building a rigorous hierarchy of syntactic elements on top of the words in a given piece of text.
This is done by interacting with a tree-view of the text, gradually building the analysis. This can be done either bottom-up or top-down, or in a mix of both styles.
Linguistic Tree Constructor is a free tool for drawing linguistic syntactic trees, running on Mac OS X, Win32, and Linux platforms.

Directory Tree is a tool with a plug-in based architecture.
Plugins are required to do anything beyond browsing and basic drag and drop.
This beta release has very limited support. The plugin manager will detect plugins, but thats about it.
It is designed for individuals who know something about the filing system, privileges and how the system works. It is not designed for amateurs.
It does not protect the user from themselves in the same way as the Finder does.
You can inflict a lot of damage to the filing system with this application. (Usual access rights will prevent the system from being hosed).
It allows you to view a directory in six ways :
Info display : information about the directory itself
Text display : display contents in a line-by-line text format
Star display : not yet implemented
Tree display : an icon based, hierarchical display
Column display : similar to Finder column display
Object display : shows ALL* objects in the directory in an icon or list view
Selected display : lists objects which are in one or more of the four selection states

I wrote this for a specifc purpose*, but hopefully the ideas can be used to suit similar needs. I was helped along by scripts posted here by Dan Decker and Robert Metzker, so I thought Id share the results.
*My particular need was to duplicate the folder structure of my iTunes Music Library into a spot where it would get backed up, but not copy the music files themselves. What I wanted to back up were the image files I had found/created, and in the process remove them from the library, since they didnt seem to "belong" there.

This disk image contains the generic US qwerty-based US Academic, also included, as a basic component, in the Romanian Academic disk image, posted separately (RO-US Academic).
You may use US Academic as a hopefully better keylayout instead of U.S. Extended, included in MAC OS X as the default Apple multinational keyboard layout. US Academic covers all the characters defined in the Latin -1 Supplement, Latin Extended-A, Latin Exended-B, Latin Extended Additional, IPA Extensions and Combining Diacritical Marks (CDM); and the key combinations are easy to remember if you are familiar with this type of keyboard layouts. It allows to achieve practically all the possible diacritical marks and the specific characters for linguistic and phonetic use.

- Initial commit of byuic to sourceforge svn. Old versions used an external svn. This version contains a revised Bash wrapper and a brand new Python wrapper. It also contains the latest YUI Compressor jar, version 2.4.2.
