Game of Life was invented by the Cambridge University (now at Princeton) mathematics professor John Conway. His "rules" were first published in the October 1970 issue of Scientific American. Life is likely the most frequently programmed computer game.
What does our application have thats better than the others... a great icon! And thats about it. This application allows you to set up cells and then watch what happens as they follow the rules of the game through multiple generations.
There are a few built in designs as well as the ability to save and reload your own. If you find this application interesting then do yourself a favor and search out one of the many much more thoroughly written Life programs.

Camera Life is a system for cataloging your photo collection. Camera Life gives users the ability to search or browse your archive in intuitive ways, with an attention to powerful administrative functions.
Camera Life is a full-featured PHP/MYSQL photo gallery. Automatically organizes photos, supports logging and undoing changes to the site, users and privileges, and a simple installer.
Camera Life integrates with iPhoto, Digikam, RSS, and uses microformats.
Main features:
- Self Updating: Camera Life will automatically cache and thumbnail photos it finds in your system. Photos are automatically assorted into Albums based on their descriptions.
- Photo Albums: Users can browse your photos by file system hierarchy (files in folders), or by Albums. An Album is a collection of photos containing a certain word in their description. Since the system knows which photos are related, it can suggest photos that a user may be interested in while they are browsing.
- Security: Users sign up for accounts from the main page. An Admin can then grant privileges to users (Administer:User Manager:Users). You can also integrate Camera Life into your own authentication system by creating a module.
- Non-destructive: Changes to your site are all logged and undoable. You can allow anyone to contribute photo descriptions, and then easily rollback changes in the event of defacement. (Administer:Log Viewer)
