- Opens URLs, directly or in your preferred helper application
- Lets you specify applications by their four-character creator (e.g. ToyS) or Java-style bundle ID (e.g. com.apple.scripteditor), both of which allow you to move or rename an application without changing references to it
- Asks applications to print documents, something the OS X Finder doesnt let you do any more
- Launches applications in the background
- Launches Carbon applications in Classic
- Reports errors intelligibly
- Shows information about any item on disk, including its file type, creator, data and resource fork sizes, dates and bundle ID (where applicable).

If you go over your monthly download allowance limit, Launch! can inform you of expected costs that you will incur. Preferences allow you to set your login name and password, along with other options such as usage statistics updates, the type of plan you are on (for calculating costs when going over your monthly allowance), applications to launch on connection etc.
You can also automatically retry connecting should connection fail. The icon for Launch! also shows you when you are connected and a usage statistics meter.
Launch! is donation-ware. This means Launch! is free, but donations are appreciated. The software has no nag screens or limited functionality. I hope some people appreciate the work that has gone in to Launch!. Donations made help me to enhance Launch! and create other Mac OS X applications.
