Mail launcher for Leopard 1.0 has come as a handy and flexible program for you which provides a clean place to start working. In this first release of Leopard, if you want to start Mail with the session and hide it just after, this doesn't work anymore, unfortunately the checkbox allowing to be launched in a hidden state doesn't work with Mail on Leopard (?) This very tiny application launches mail and hides every applications not only Mail itself, and displays just the Finder.

This bothered me somewhat, so the Ferazels more>> Ever played a round of Ferazels Wand in Mac OS X and noticed afterwards that it resized or moved around your Mail, Project Builder and other open windows? This bothered me somewhat, so the "Ferazels Wand X Launcher" application (aka. "FW X Launcher") was born.
It changes the resolution to 640x480x8 (256 colors) and then it proceeds to launch Ferazels Wand. That way it prevents the Ferazels Wand application from having to change the resolution first, and thus no resizing/rearranging of windows takes place.
Additionally, FW X Launcher also appears to have the nice side effect of hiding the dock, so there are no more ugly dock remnants to be seen while Ferazel is loading.
MacOS X 10.0 or later, Ferazels Wand 1.0 or later.

The main administrative feature of this launcher is that one must have an Mac OS X, administrator password to add or remove buttons and tabs on the launcher.
This is useful in lab, kiosk, or public workstation environments where administrators want to provide a consistant interface for launching applications.

KDE Launcher is a software that runs KDE in a separate and distinct instance of X11 allowing the user to run KDE in an optimized environment using its window manager and with its own Dock icon, while simultaneously running other X11 applications in their regular Apple X11 using Apples quartz-wm for its Aqua look and feel and better speed.
KDE Launcher is not KDE or X11. It is only a configuration and startup utility for them so in order to run it needs to have those already installed. I use Apples X11 and Fink so that is what I created this to work with.
