Actor-lab is a parallel, object-orientated control language designed to introduce the ideas of control technology and robotics.

Actor-lab was designed to make the teaching of control technology possible in classroom settings where, after a general introduction by the teacher, year 5-7 children work by themselves in small groups with only peer support.

The language and the interface were designed to represent the notion of input-process-output that is central to basic robotics and control technology. Its operation can be explained using the intuitively accessible metaphor of a cast of actors able to send messages to each other. The programmers role becomes one of playwright, writing scripts for the actors.

GenChemLab is an OpenGL-based application intended to simulate several common general chemistry exercises.

Furthermore, its multi-threaded, and includes optimizations for both the G4 and the G5.

BioMed Lab Portal Server Package 0.80 is designed as a useful package containing a MacOS X Installer for a self-contained BioMed Laboratory Portal Server for intranet use for a biomedical research laboratory. It includes Apache web server with all the standard components (PHP, MySQL, Perl etc) from XAMPP, and XOOPS system with PubMedPDF module for managing thousands of PDF reprints from journals.

PubMedPDF integrates very nicely with the popular iPapers application, automatically indexing papers collected by iPapers and making them available via the Lab portal site for Mac and Windows alike. It also includes PHP-based PukiWiki system for managing notes and documentations for lab use. It is suitable for maintaining various lab notes and manuals, FAQs and instructions for daily activities of any lab. Modifying these web contents may be done via a standard browser, and simple changes can literally be done in a matter of seconds.

Twicetab does one thing and does it well: after installing it, double clicking Safaris tab bar creates a new tab. Thats it!

AdminLauncher is an application launcher which provides one click buttons to launch applications, documents, etc. A tabbed interface is available to group applications so they can be found quickly.

The main administrative feature of this launcher is that one must have an Mac OS X, administrator password to add or remove buttons and tabs on the launcher.

This is useful in lab, kiosk, or public workstation environments where administrators want to provide a consistant interface for launching applications.
