In Plus mode, only each player's three most recent moves are in play, i.e. when a player makes their fourth move, their first move is removed, and that square is re-opened for possible selection by the opposing player. This method makes gameplay more interesting and removes the possibility of a stalemate.
The computer player has a complete set of strategies for standard tic tac toe, but only two Plus-mode specific strategies. Because the computer player is weak in Plus mode, it is most fun to play against a human player.
