Kitchen Timer is a simple alarm timer applet written in AppleScript which notifies you with a dialog and a sound when the specified number of minutes has passed.

Launch it and enter how many minutes for alarm, then press "GO" button. You can use decimal fractional value. (0.5 for 30 seconds).

Completly freeware.

Track Timer 3.0 is regarded as a fantastic and advanced AppleScript script that is meant to be used in conjunction with the scheduling application Script Timer to provide a scheduling solution for Apple Computer's popular iTunes application.

Track Timer is a free AppleScript script that interfaces with iTunes and provides a simple way to specify and play any number of iTunes tracks. You simply provide Track Timer with a play list of music, audio streams, or both and the single track or multiple tracks you want to hear in any order, and it takes care of controlling iTunes. You can even ask for a random track or tell Track Timer to instruct iTunes to shuffle the whole play list, and you can specify a different sound volume for each play list. You use Script Timer to schedule the execution of Track Timer. You can schedule any number of play lists at any number of times.

Chimoo Timer is a nice tool, a countdown/up timer featuring speech recognition and text-to-speech support.

Meditation Timer is a really simple cocoa app, but nonetheless I thought a few would find it useful. I actually wrote it for myself, because I often meditate alone and dont want to watch a clock. I found some good sounds, gave it an appropriate interface, and thats about it. You can also add your own sounds by adding them to the resource folder (see Meditation Timers help file). WireTap Timer is like a VCR for streaming audio. It records live audio broadcasts at settable times. It is also an easy way to start recording instantly, and have the recording stop after a specified time. The broadcast can use QuickTime, Real, Windows Media, MP3 or other protocols. Options are available to adjust times for broadcasts originating in different time zones. WireTap Repeater, also included, allows regular recordings to be done automatically.

Talk Timer is a simple application in Squeak for use at conferences to help speakers keep track of how much time they have left.
The timer counts down the number of minutes reserved for the talk and turns red when only 5 minutes are left, when times up it also flashes.
I originally quickly hacked this together at the Camp Smalltalk event at the ESUG 2005 conference, where we installed it on a computer next to the speakers.
