Unlock Keychain 1.1
Unlock Keychain - Create your own keychain-unlocker more>>
Use the Unlock Keychain Applescript-model to create your own keychain-unlocker! No fancy tools needed.
If you want to unlock more keychains you can duplicate the line before quit in the script as often as you want, filling in different keychain names and passwords.
SECURITY ISSUE: It is possible for people to read your password in the run-only Applescript you create with this model. Make sure no-one is able to access your script over the network. If you dont know who has access to your computer you should consider using the Multiple user accounts of MacOS 9, or the Password Security for powerbooks.
KeyChainDD 0.9.0.0
Free and open source password management application more>> Free and open source password management application
KeyChainDD manages all of your on-line passwords securely, allowing you to easily use strong, highly secure passwords, but still keep all the ease of use - like drag and drop - that the Mac OS X platform is known for.
In addition, KeyChainDD supports double levels passwords - system where you are required to enter a first password, then selected characters from a second password.
KeyChainDD has two basic functions:
- Managing your passwords and memorable information. KeyChainDD uses Mac OS Xs built-in KeyChain manager to store your passwords. This makes KeyChainDD super-secure, and means that you can use passwords that you have already stored. But KeyChainDD also provides an ability the OS X KeyChain manager doesnt - it stores "memorable information", and displays it later in a convenient form.
- Transfer your User Ids and Passwords securely to other applications, such as browsers. You can either use the pasteboard, drag-and-drop, or use KeyChainDD as an OS X service.
Enhancements
- Initial release.

Keychain Unlock - Quickly unlock the Keychain more>>
Completly freeware for personal use.
Keychain AutoUnlock 1.2
Keychain AutoUnlock - Tool to automatically unlock the OS 9 Keychain more>>
Its quite handy for those of us who love the keychain, but hate the fact that every time we restart or boot-up, we must unlock it first before it can be used.
Enhancements:
- Keychain installed and activeAdded the deluxe "how to" instructions below in the "How Do I Use It?" section.
- Added a new feature to "always prompt" on startup. Yes, this sort of defeats the purpose of having it auto-unlock, but it is useful for certain software configurations, where the keychain screws up by trying to open certain servers before other software is setup correctly on startup. Most people will not want this feature, and they should just leave it off.
Keychain Unlocker 2.0.8
Keychain Unlocker - This script unlocks the Keychain more>>
Other features include the ability to unlock multiple keychains, mount servers after the keychain is unlocked and launch applications after the keychain is unlocked.
Enhancements:
- Prior version was trying to mount a server and would cause error message that the server could not be found.
- Commented out the following line
mount volume "afp:/at/server name/volume name" as user name "user name" with password "your password"
- Now it is an option that you can un-comment.
Build Keychain info 1.0
Build Keychain info - Creates Keychain keys faster more>>
So this can be useful for admins setting up a new user.
For now, it only works on the currently logged in users keychain. The next rev will allow you to poke any keychain you have a password for on the machine you are running the app on.
No, its not scriptable. I havent figured out how to make an AppleScript scriptable. If you want to look at the source, go ahead. pay particular attention to the protocol and authentication build handlers, Apple has some bugs in Keychain Scripting that i had to work around.
Its freeware, but its mine. i hold the copyright on the app. Obviously, i cant copyright the concept, but the look is my doing, and so is the code. Its *free*, and if you want to do cool things with it, by all means do so, but keep my name on it, since I started stuff this time. This was more than a bit of work, since I had to do this in AppleScript Studio, and deal with DTS, etc.

SkeyCalc 3.0 is a reliable and pleasant program which computes One-Time Passwords for use in logging in (or otherwise authenticating to) servers which implement S/Key or OTP access control. SkeyCalc operates as a service, allowing for lightning-fast OTP authentication. SkeyCalc supports the keychain, and uses sensitive regular expressions to make even the selection of an OTP challenge a snap.
Major Features:
- Main SkeyCalc Window: You access this window by selecting a text challenge with your mouse and using the services menu of the application you are using. Alternatively, you can simply launch SkeyCalc and paste or type a challenge in.
- Calculation results: SkeyCalc displays the response for the challenge and passphrase you entered. This response is automatically copied to the pasteboard. In fact, you can even prevent this window from displaying entirely, leaving the result in the pasteboard alone.
- Keychain Items Window: The keychain items window allows you to remove your passwords from the Mac OS X keychain. You have the option of storing items in the keychain, and if you change your mind this is how you easily delete them. The seed is the second part of the S/Key challenge, which changes infrequently. SkeyCalc knows which password to use by looking up the seed in the keychain.
Enhancements:
- Apple Keychain support
- Cleaned up user interface to remove old NeXT-looking widgets and fonts
- Swanky new app icon looks better at sizes larger than 48x48
- New (optional) panel shows results after calculating, rather than just copying and quitting
- Service appears by default on Mac OS X 10.6 and up
- Universal binary runs natively on Intel and PowerPC processors
