AsyncKeys! 1.7b4
AsyncKeys! means: Asynchronous keyboard reading, that is when the computer reads the status of the key pressed on the keyboard without waiting for them to generate a keyDown event more>> AsyncKeys! means: Asynchronous keyboard reading, that is when the computer reads the status of the key pressed on the keyboard without waiting for them to generate a keyDown event. AsyncKeys is a little utility that shows you the exact keyboard reference number and its ASCII equivalent to a keystroke or key combination you can press.Note that if you change the layout of your keyboard (I.E. from US keyboard to French keyboard) some ASCII character changes but its keyboard reference number doesnt.
Mac OS X 10.2 or later.
Version 1.7b4 adds the following:
- Compatible now only with Jaguar.
- Asynckeys! can now show the Base64 encoding in all its ASCII analyzer windows.
- New look thanks to the nice icons and pictures made by Eric J. Basti.
- All the program interface has been updated to become more compatible with Mac OS X interface standards.

WindowDragon 1.0
WindowDragon allows windows to be dragged by clicking anywhere on their structures more>>
WindowDragon is configured from the APE Manager preference pane. To access the WindowDragon configuration window, choose System Preferences from the Apple Menu, click on the APE Manager icon, and choose WindowDragon from the Application Enhancers list on the left side of the window.
Clicking the "Drag Anywhere" checkbox toggles the feature on and off. To set the desired mouse and modifier key combination to be used for Drag Anywhere functionality, hold the modifiers down and click the box next to the "Drag Anywhere" text with the appropriate mouse button. The box will be updated to reflect your new settings.
Clicking the "Bring Window to Front" checkbox allows you to toggle between WindowDragons two window dragging behaviors. If "Bring Window to Front" is enabled, the window that is being dragged will become the front window. If the feature is turned off, the window will not be brought forward. Holding down the command key while using "Drag Anywhere" will use the alternate behavior.
The "Drag All" feature is similar to "DragAnywhere" except that it allows you to drag all of an applications windows at once.
Enhancements:
- WindowDragon is out of beta, which means no more annoying expiration dates! Rejoice!
- Fixed a "Resize Anywhere" bug that caused windows from occasionally continuing to resize after the mouse button had been released. Apparently this fix also eliminated a bug where drawers in windows that had been resized wouldnt always respond correctly to mouse clicks (?)
- The "Bring Window To Front" option cannot be disabled for the Resize Anywhere and Drag Anywhere functions if Mouse 1 is used. This is because I havent figured out a way to prevent Cocoa apps from coming forward when mouse 1 is used to click on a window.
- Removed some unneeded console output.
- Macromedia Flash 7 apparently doesnt like the Resize Anywhere function, so it this function has been disabled for the app.

Mail Act-On 1.3.2
Mail Act-On - Map mail rules/actions to Act-On keys more>>
Mail lacks a simple method of organizing messages based on user-defined keystrokes. As it stands, the only way of doing this is to write a series of AppleScripts that does each task, saving them to Mails applescript folder and naming them so that a control key combination can be used. This is very cumbersome as it takes a knowledge of AppleScript to devise the actions and adding new rules is not a simple process. To fulfill my personal need, I dived into the world of mail plug ins and wrote Mail Act-On to solve all my lifes (er -- email) problems.
Mail Act-On is a plugin Apples Mail (Panther) in that allows you to map specific mail rules or actions to "Act-On" keys. When viewing mail you can apply the "Act-On" action for a message by making simple keystrokes.
Mail Act-On makes use of Mails existing rule engine, so if you have ever created a rules, you already know 99% of what you need to know to build an Act-On action. Imagine, no AppleScripts or other macros. (Even if you havent ever created a mail rule, there is very little learn!)
Enhancements:
- Mail Act-On is now a Universal Plug-in, providing Act-On goodness for Intel based Macs
- Rules that are disabled in Preferences will no longer show in the Act-On Menu.
