Version 8.0.5 adds the following:

• Gedcom Import: Made some improvements that should speed up the importing of larger files.
• Fixed a problem that would cause Initial Caps and Uppercase to be ignored in the Edit Marriage Window.
• Options -> Startup: Calendar settings were not getting properly saved.
• Chart Editor: Fixed a problem with the Squeeze Pedigree menu command that was introduced in 8.04.

  • Fixed a problem that would cause a blank white rectangle in the top right corner of the Help window when using Search the Manual and also when clicking the Contact button in the About Reunion window.
  • Fixed a problem that would cause a blank white rectangle in the top left corner of the Edit Person window after clicking New Male Person or New Female Person in the Begin window that appears when first opening a family file.
  • Fixed some odd behavior and crashing with the Match & Merge window.
  • Fixed some undesireable behavior with the Find Anything window.

Pathway is a very useful semantic browser that tracks your steps through MediaWiki sites such as Wikipedia.
Pathway represents visited pages by nodes, which are interconnected to form the trail that youve made. This enables you to keep a clear overview of your wiki explorations.
Enhancements:
- Support for regular pages :Add and manage any web page.
- New Info inspector, enhanced image viewer: Add notes and file references to any page.
- Search wikis for the articles you want to add: No more encounters with non-existing articles.
- Better searching and filtering: The search function now searches both the contents and titles of articles. Nodes become more visible as they are more important, and visa versa.
- Collections: Collections help you manage pages by dividing them into groups. The new list view makes it easy to drag them where you want them.

Remarks
- This is the English language version only. Localized versions will become available via the "Check updates" button as soon as they are finished.

Dropsound 2.90 is a beneficial and highspeed application which plays sound files. For example: if you have a lot of samples and you want to preview them before using them or cataloging them or what have you, you can drop the lot on DS and they will load into a nice queue and play, one by one, one after the other, until they've all been played. At that point, should you designate the proper checkbox in the preferences window, the queue will clear itself or DS will quit.

The queue is the main feature of DS; all other features exploit this form of organization. One such feature is that DS can convert every file in the queue to AIF or WAV format, which comes in handy sometimes.

For a satisfactory list of major features, see "What DS Can/Cannot Do", on the website. Succinctly, Dropsound is somewhat useful especially for working with samples, but not the sort of application that changes your life around and saves your marriage or civil union. Despite that, I would say it's "freakin' awesome", and so would my former friend Ryan Laster, who remarked of DS, "Your app f***in' rocks!" (real quote !).
