Journal Note pops up a text entry dialog into which you can enter a note, then saves the note to a subfolder in your home Library folder, using the current date and time for the filename (starting with the year for correct sorting).

Optionally, you can open the unsaved note in BBEdit.

LiveJournal Addons adds some facilities to work with LiveJournal. This extension is destined to facilitate use of LiveJournal services.

viJournal Lite is a lightweight freeware version of viJournal. It has most of the core journal-keeping functionality of the full version, minus some of the more advanced features.
Its designed as an analogue of the good old-fashioned page-a-day bound diary - the kind you buy in a stationers.
viJournal has many powerful features, such as a parallel notepad, export to HTML and PDF, file encryption, password protection, hyperlinking.

Open Daily Journal Event is an Entourage AppleScript which creates a new, date-stamped all-day event titled "Daily Journal - 2001-03-16" (using the actual date), and puts a time stamp into the Notes area of the event.

If a journal event already exists for the day, opens it and adds a new time stamp at the bottom of the note.

Create Dated Journal Entry combines the function of "New journal time entry". Opens note titled "Journal yyyy/mm/dd" and starts a time-stamped entry.
If no note exists, the script will create one.

Journalert is a free Mac OS X client application for the LiveJournal service -- it lets you post to your journal or to communities, and to learn when your friends journals are updated
Main features:
- It supports styled text (WYSIWYG) editing, albeit in limited form. If the only formatting you use is bold, italic and links, youll never need to type another HTML tag again. If you need to add more formatting, you can switch to HTML view and go crazy.
- The HTML view includes some conveniences for automatically entering tags (including bold, italic and links.)
- If left running, it will notify you whenever your Friends page is updated, by bouncing its icon in the Dock and then displaying an alert that shows the name of the friend who posted as well as the picture they used and the subject of the post.
