Al Bhed Translator is a service for Mac OS X, that is, it puts a little menu in your "Services" menu, and will translate any text to and from the Al Bhed "language".

Al Bhed is a code used in the game Final Fantasy X, but this can be used to encode any kind of text, really. If you play FFX, youll probably want this handy. Trust me....

The Al Bhed are a cultural group within the world of FFX, complete with their own language. The only cultural group, by the way, which speaks another language, even though there are several different sentient species on the planet.

Oops, did I say "language"? I meant code. Thats right- instead of making up some nonsense for the Al Bhed, they changed english letters into different letters and called that a "language". To that I say- huh? Then you go around finding "primers" to this language that translate the letters (one at a time) back. Yeah, I wish I could learn Japanese that way!

Tell Me A Story 1.1.1 is an easy to use and free application which speaks a story or text. This could be used for children who can not read or for people with poor eyesight after texts are added to the bookshelf. Click on a story title to hear it read. You can pause/continue or stop a story. Two stories are built-in and it is easy to add stories. The large buttons, large fonts and easy operation make it simple to use.

Talk To Me is a free Yahoo! widget that talks to you. Just type text into the speech bubble and press the "Talk To Me!" Its always funny to hear the computer voice!

Mount Me! 2.05 offers great benefits to force-mount physical disks that refuse to mount on your system. You can also drop any type of image file (.dmg, .toast, .img) onto Mount Me! to have it mounted on your desktop.

If you double-click on the icon, it will seek out and mount any external/internal physical disks that refuse to mount for whatever reason. You will be able to select which disk(s) you would like to mount through a simple dialog box. To mount a disk image, simply drag the file onto the Mount Me! icon. It will quickly mount .dmg, .smi, .toast, .image, .img images, then quit, providing seamless integration of disk image mounting without any app-launching. Either way, you'll be getting mounted in no time!

Link Me!/Open Me! is an interesting set of scripts! "Link Me!" will allow you to place a link button to another QuarkXPress document on the current documents layout. When run, the script will prompt you for the document to "link to" and then create a picture box containing an icon on the top left of the current page.

It will also place a text box containing the name of the "link to" file next to the picture box.

Select both boxes (group them if you like) and move them to the pasteboard or wherever you desire. The text box containing the "link to" doc name is created for your convienince and may be deleted if you want since the picture box contains the link!

To open "link to" documents, select the link icon boxes representing the files to open (dont worry if theyre grouped since the script will find "see" them anyway), and run the "Open Me!" script--it will open all "link to" documents. If a "link to" document has been moved to another location, the script will offer to find every matching file and open them. The "Open Me!" script requires the scriptable Finder that ships with system 7.5 or higher.
