Free itunes current song menu software for mac

This set of scripts was written to help rate songs on headless Macs running iTunes. It basically comes down to providing an easy way to rate songs with just a keyboard. It provides verbal feedback for the user as well, so you know if it worked.
NOTE: iTunes must be the front running application in order for these apps to work. There are lots of switchers that can make this happen (there are also some workarounds I can share as well, but they are harder to configure, so not documented here).
Enhancements:
- The "?" option now announces the current rating of the song.
- The "?" option only changes the rating of a song if it is changed from the current rating.

iTunes Magic Menu 0.1b1 is a distinguished and tractable menubar extra that allows the users to control the iTunes application.

Using iTunes MMenu you will can see the current in play audio file (and the relative information as like the author, the total song time, the album and many others). What is Tunes Menu?
Tunes Menu is a simple and easy to use program that puts a small musical note icon on your toolbar. When you are in iTunes (either the music store, or one of your own playlists) you can select a song, go to the Tunes Menu and click Copy and Find. Tunes Menu will then go out on the net (assuming you are connected) and find selected local online stores and report back (in the menu) if the store has the CD and the cost. You can then simply click on the store name in the menu and this will open your default browser and take you to the store. Alternatively you can enter the details of the CD you wish to find, that is artist and CD name, in to the manual search facility and run your search that way!

iTTool is a very simple application that, to some users, fills a very needed niche.
It offers a tiny toolbar which floats over the top of your other applications, offering a quick one-click solution.
Why not just use the iTunes Dock Menu / Control Strip Menu?
If thats good enough for you, then by all means continue to use it. iTTool isnt for everyone, and a large number of people find it to be a waste of bandwidth, but a select group love the single click option. Using the menu requires either a click and hold or a control click to bring up, and then you have to scroll up and select the option you want. iTTool simplifies that to just one click.
iTunes shrinks down to a pretty small window on its own already
Thats true, but that window doesnt float over other windows, and isnt nearly as small as iTTools toolbar pallet. Even at its largest expanded form, iTTool is only a 112x40 pixel window, compaired to the 130x50 window that iTunes has for its minimum. iTTools pallet can even be shrunken down to a measily 30x15 pixel window. Thats an extreemly small space on your desktop.
Enhancements:
- Ratings menu button allows quick changing of the current songs rating. This requires iTunes 3, and is disabled for OS9.
- Added an about window to the main menu.

This AppleScript collection contains three scripts :

- One will set your iChat message to the current song you are listening to.

- Another will do the same, but will display that you are listening to nothing if you are listening to a song you dont want your friends to know that you are listening to it along with a script that will help you assign which songs should not be displayed.

I was tired of manually typing what song I was playing in iTunes to my friends on iChat, and after looking for an application I made my own in AppleScript, and here it is.

iTunes Track creates a floating window that displays the current playing track from iTunes. There are also control buttons that allow you to play, pause, and skip tracks. Its window transparency, size, color and update interval are all modifiable.
