BSInspectors 1.2
BSInspectors - a simple API for everyone to create his own plugins more>>
BSInspectors is a very useful tool, a inspector for your objects. The default version supplies an inspector for Arrays and Dictionaries and everything else is simply inspected by its debug string.
The BSInspectors include a simple API for everyone to create his own plugins, so you can even inspect the objects you created just for your own projects. The archive includes the source-code and a sample-plugin.
Main features:
- Double-click your objects in the debugger to open the inspectors
- Inspects Strings, Arrays and Dictionaries by default
- Supplies an easy to use API to enable other developers to write their own plugins
Zipper 1.2
Zipper is a tool for inspecting the contents of a compressed archive and for extracting more>>
I know that theres a GNUstep port of the famous OpenUp application but I must admit that for a living I have to use Windoze at work. After a while I got quite used to Winzips UI.
Although I dont like some of its features, what I really like is the content listing of an archive without actually having to unpack it. This is what Zipper currently tries to mimic. This has also the advantage that you dont have to unpack archives from networked volumes to your local disk just to view whats in it.
Zipper has a single window, that displays the contents of the selected archive.
Main features:
- Add more extraction methods: zoo, arj, rpm, deb,ar
- Display more status/progress info when archiving and unarchiving
- DragnDrop executables to the Preferences dialog
- DragnDrop extraction to GWorkspace
- Display archive structure in NSOutlineView
- Before extracting the archive, check if files exist and ask user what should happen
- Handle password-protected archives
Enhancements:
- Try to determine the file type by the files content before resorting to the file extension. This is necessary as some file extensions are ambiguous.
- I finally restructured the code so that not all possible archivers need to be filled when closing the preferences panel. Now if you open an archive that does not have a valid archiver specified the preferences panel will open.
Vaccine 4.3
Vaccine provides you with a free but efficient HyperCard virus utility written by Bill Swagerty which is able to inspect all the stacks on your hard drive, or any part of it, for most HyperCard viruses. more>>
Vaccine 4.3 provides you with a free but efficient HyperCard virus utility written by Bill Swagerty which is able to inspect all the stacks on your hard drive, or any part of it, for most HyperCard viruses. Vaccine 4.3, new as of 5/6/00, has been rewritten and updated to include virus checking and eradication routines for all the recently-discovered viruses, including Antibody, Independance Day [sic], Blink, and Wormcode.
Besides finding and eliminating HyperCard viruses in your stacks, it will offer to compact each stack to eliminate free space (which can reduce the "false positive" reports from other virus checkers) and it can lock your Home stack against future attacks if you choose.
The Preferences card allows you full control over Vaccine's mode of operation, and reporting features have been updated as well. This is an excellent utility, and because it is HyperCard-based, it is able to use a more reliable detection method than commercial virus utilities.
Vaccine will eliminate MerryXmas, all MerryXmas clones, HC 9507 (Pickle), Antibody, Blink, and Wormcode, and will check for and alert you to the presence of Independance Day. This utility is highly recommended for every stack-owner's arsenal.
Requirements: All Mac
PrefEdit 1.2
PrefEdit - Inspect and edit all preference settings for Mac OS X applications more>>
PrefEdit can access all preference settings of "well-behaved" Carbon and Cocoa applications. Older Mac applications running in the Classic environment used a totally different system for storing preference settings. The settings of such programs do not appear in PrefEdit.
WARNING: If you edit, add or delete preference values of application programs or the Mac OS X operating system, you should know what you are doing. Inappropriate values can cause serious malfunctions in the system which could destroy important data or create other unexpected effects.
Enhancements:
- Corrected compatibility problem with Mac OS X 10.1 where editing a value and then selecting another entry could unintentionally copy the edited value to the newly selected entry.

Display Enabler 2.4.1
Some customers have reported that after installing Mac OS 8.5 onto a PowerBook G3 Series computer, their ixMicro ix3D Road Rocket video card no longer allows external monitors to sleep more>> Some customers have reported that after installing Mac OS 8.5 onto a PowerBook G3 Series computer, their ixMicro ix3D Road Rocket video card no longer allows external monitors to sleep. This update addresses that issue. Note: Macintosh PowerBook G3 Series computers should not be confused with Macintosh PowerBook G3 computers. Though the names are similar, there are significant differences. To visually identify which type of computer you have, close the display and inspect the display case. A Macintosh PowerBook G3 has a small, six-color Apple logo on the display case. A Macintosh PowerBook G3 Series computer has a large Apple logo on the display case that is not six-colored.

cocoaNEC 2 0.55
cocoaNEC is a full featured and advanced Mac OS X application intended primarily for the design and modeling of antennas. more>> cocoaNEC 2 0.55 is a full featured and advanced Mac OS X application intended primarily for the design and modeling of antennas.
cocoaNEC is a Universal Binary Cocoa based application. It runs natively on both Intel based and PowerPC based Macintosh computers that use Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) or newer. The application is free.
- You can now quickly check if your copy of cocoaNEC is up to date. Please note that you have to manually check for updates. cocoaNEC will not pester you by itself. When directed to do so with the Check for Updates menu item, it will check the running version of cocoaNEC against a web file.
- NC now includes the following calls.
- arc_
- helix_
- wire_
- patch_
- rectangularPatch_
- triangularPatch_
- quadPatch_
- multiPatch_
- voltageFeedAtSegment
- currentFeedAtSegment
- networkAtSegments
- transmissionLineAtSegments
- seriesLoadsAtSegments
- parallelLoadsAtSegments
- impedanceAtSegments
- conductivityAtSegments
- In prior versions of cocoaNEC, the Spreadsheet and NC methods had used independent mechanisms to generate a NEC-2 card deck. From version 0.55 onwards, a Spreadsheet model no longer generates a card deck. Instead, the Spreadsheet generates an NC program, and the NC program is executed to produce the actual card images. This reduces the amount of code that I need to maintain. If you have an existing Spreadsheet model that had worked under version 0.54 but no longer works under version 0.55, please revert the application back to v0.54, which is still available in the Download page, and please drop me an e-mail.
- Each Spreadsheet row now includes a "transform" column. When the transform cell is empty, the row behaves as before. However, when a transform variable is included, it is associated with a NEC-2 "GM" card. This allows a geometry element to be rotated or translated. Just as with ordinary variables and network and transmission line elements, the transform variables are defined in its own drop down sheet. Each geometry element can now be defined as before without a transform, or it can include a transform which it can share with other geometry elements.
- The spreadsheet interface now has a Show Cards button. This can be used to inspect the card deck or NC program from a failed run.
- More examples have been added to the examples folder. New files include simple spreadsheet models for an arc and a helix, and an NC model of a Log Periodic Dipole Array by Doug, K4DSP that is defined with recursive function calls.
