iDictionary Lite 1.0 provides you with a sophisticated Mac OS X application which lets you put a dictionary and/or thesaurus onto your iPod. iDictionary Lite leverages the Oxford dictionary available with OS X 10.4 along with some very smart filtering and optimization techniques to create a dictionary or thesaurus that will fit on an iPod. The dictionary or thesaurus is displayed on your iPod using the iPod's built in "Notes" feature.

The "Notes" feature, which is needed to view a dictionary or thesaurus on your iPod, is available on 3rd generation or newer iPods (sold since April, 2003.). iDictionary Lite restricts the dictionaries created to letters A-D. If you want to be able to access a full dictionary or thesaurus you must purchase a license for the standard version of iDictionary.

Bookmark Places is a simple utility that helps a group of people store and organize their bookmarks.

Bookmark Places supports multiple users, each protected by an individual password.

Using simple password protection techniques, each user on Mac OS X can easily access their bookmarks. Though most browsers already let you do this, I wrote this anyway. In fact I wrote it a while ago and found it laying around.

Infinite and Interactive Realtime Composition for Sampled Sound Particles

Amazing Maze is a work-in-progress that started in 1993 when I was working at IRCAM (Paris). In this realtime composition I attempted to realize ideas that have been haunting me for many years, and which I first accomplished in Lexikon-Sonate (1992-2007) for computer-controlled piano. Both pieces envisage a new type of music

• which composes itself at the time of its sounding
• which is not merely a reproduction of a pre-fabricated notation
• which is capable of reacting on exterior influences
• which exhibits infinite temporal expansion
• which never repeats itself.

Amazing Maze is represented by a computer program which generates music by manipulating sampled instrumental sounds according to certain compositional strategies that are carried out in different structure generators. Each generator synthesizes its own characteristic sound world.

The compositional algorithms are currently programmed in MaxMSP by taking advantage of my Real Time Composition Library (RTC-lib). This collection of software modules offers the possibility to experiment with a number of compositional techniques, such as serial procedures, permutations and controlled randomness.

The sound material used in Amazing Maze is based on instrumental interpretations of three different types of sounds: points, grids, and planes which have been worked out for different instruments exploring sound qualities beyond the normal playing.

You might not have heard of Pandora, a personalized streaming music service. The cool thing about Pandora, besides the fact that its free, is that its music recommendations are based on actual musical analysis (e.g. "vocal harmony, mild rhythmic syncopation, acoustic rhythm piano, major key tonality"), not just artist and genre. Pandora comes from the Music Genome Project.
Well, I made a Dashboard widget for Pandora.
Caveats (not my fault):
1) Dashboard in Tiger doesnt pass events through to Flash applets very reliably (its a known issue), so its can be hard to click on things (try clicking in rapid succession). But it plays music fine. Its probably easier to set up your account and music preferences in your web browser first, and then just use the widget for listening to music (think: "It shuffles music for you").
2) Pandora takes a while to load (like 10 seconds).

ProM Import is a tool that allows you to extract process enactment event logs from a set of information systems. These can be exported in the MXML format, which is the standard event log data format for Process Mining analysis techniques.
