Make Thumbnails creates JPEG thumbnails from one or more image files.
You can specify the size and quality level of the thumbnail.
It uses Mac OS Xs Scriptable Image Processing Server, which can read the following image formats: BMP, GIF, JPEG, JPEG2, MacPaint, PDF, Photoshop, PICT, PNG, PSD, QuickTime image, SGI, Text, TGA, and TIFF.
Enhancements:
- Added support for PICT files in 10.4+
- Lets you specify multiple files from the "Choose a File" dialog.

ThumbNailer is a free program for creating thumbnails of images. Great for batch creating thumbnails for your web page!

Image In Table is a source code package that shows how to put images into a table column.

iView Thumbnote is a plug-in script for iViewMedia Pro that automatically inserts your textual remarks as thumbnail next to an image thumbnail in your catalog.
The uses are many: you could add editing remarks for co-workers, reminders for graphic asset librarians, technical info next to each image, references or "place holders" for still missing items (in slide shows for example), etc.
Main features:
- you can add a thumbnote wherever you want, and change its position later if necessary
- you can edit the thumbnote using Open with Creator (contextual menu item right clicking on the thumbnote) (the thumbnail itself will unfortunately not be updated, even after using Action Rebuild Thumbnail)
- the note can be as long as you want, its a simple text file. To read it, view it in media mode
- you can change the name of the thumbnote by clicking on the thumbnail name and editing it (the name of the Media File, in this case a textfile, will be changed accordingly).

ImageMagick can read, convert and write images in a large variety of formats. Images can be cropped, colors can be changed, various effects can be applied, images can be rotated and combined, and text, lines, polygons, ellipses and Bezier curves can be added to images and stretched and rotated.
ImageMagick is a nice tool suite for the creation, modification and display of bitmap images.
ImageMagick is free software: it is delivered with full source code and can be freely used, copied, modified and distributed. Its license is compatible with the GPL. It runs on all major operating systems.

Nailer is a quick thumbnail generator (non persistent). It supports NSImage based image types (jpg, gif, tiff, pict, etc.) and generates sheets of images for you to view.
Enhancements:
- Aqua UI support.
